Good morning. I have a Samsung A13 5G. Until about a year ago I never had issues with getting Twitter notifications. Now usually if my screen is off until I turn it back on does the notifications I missed come through. If the screen is on they are usually instant. I have all the X settings, Power Saving, Notification Settings and Battery settings correct from what I have researched. I have not changed anything related to X and just cleared the cache and restarted. But once the screen times out the notifications come through but do not make a sound or are delayed. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central forums. Based on your description it sounds like you put Twitter to sleep. Samsung was being very aggressive a while back and you may have gotten caught up in it. When it would find an app running in the background that it thought was using too much battery or processor power it would splash a banner informing the user of this and asking what it should do, with one option being to put the app to sleep. Sleeping apps stop running if the screen goes to sleep or if they are not in the forefront actively being used. This explains why these notifications don't come through until you've woken the phone.

To check what apps are in your sleeping app list open Settings>Device care>Battery>Background usage limits>Sleeping apps/Deep sleeping apps. Check these two locations and remove any apps that you feel should not be in these lists.

Let us know what you find.

Thank you for responding. As far as the Twitter App I do not have it listed as under sleeping or deep sleeping apps. I wanted to add it to Never Sleeping Apps but when I bring up the list to suggest an app X doesn't show up in the list under X or Twitter. All my other apps do but not X. Should I just choose 'Put Unused Apps to Sleep' and change it to 'off'?
