Is anyone else experiencing this? Why is the screen takin up too much battery life? I already lowered the brightness, turned off smart stay and auto brightness and reduced screen timeout. I also disabled lots of apps I don't use (S voice, and lots of google apps) if that helps. This is my first android phone and I've only had this for 4 months and I haven't experienced massive battery drain when I was runnin on KitKat please help thank you!

Welcome to Android Central! The screen is the biggest energy user on a phone, so if you're using your phone a lot, it's normal for the screen to be responsible for the highest proportion of battery use. Judging from your screenshots, your screen is on track for total screen-on time of >5 hours, which is pretty good. In addition, your mobile signal looks pretty weak--if it's frequently weak, that can drain the battery, since it requires the cell radio to expend energy to boost the signal.

My girlfriend's A5 still uses kitkat, it's about 3 months old and the battery lasts long enough.
I experienced only problems when upgrading my phone, from slower processing to battery drain, ask yourself if it's really worth it.
Of course downgrading a phone is more complex and took me some time to acheive.

I have a A-7 phone and my battery lasts 2 1/2 days while using games, hearing my playlists, and texting. Lollipop drains the battery way to much.
