Galaxy gear smart watch worth it?

That looks a lot better than what I'd expected. And you're so right, people give reviews on things they have not even had access to yet. Thanks for your post. I'd love to get one of these watches, but I just bought the Note 3 and if I want to stay married I'll wait a bit. BTW, how do you charge it when power is low? - Thanks... JB

The Gear has its own separate charger that's similar to a dock. You clamp the watch into it and it charges pretty quickly.

I was at a Fall Festival my church was having yesterday and took over 60 pictures with the GG.

The quality of photos on such a small camera is amazing.

Free is definitely worth it!

Im in Atlanta, GA. The Samsung crew says it's happening in other states and not carrier specific, they are doing it at AT&T too. I know it's happening in Phoenix and California right now.

I don't know how "worth it" it is. I don't have one, because $300 for a watch is a lot of money -- you can get the Note 3 for that much! Smart watches are a nice idea and seem like they can be useful, but I don't think they're really for me, not at this point at least.

I like the concept of Galaxy gear, but I think I get too many emails to that the gg isn't practical.

The Samsung Gear can be said as worthy and not worthy. If i say worthy, it is very useful as we can receive notifications, make calls, receive messages and more. It can even take beautiful photos.If i say it is not worthy, you cant use it with your next android phones but non-samsung phones.So, make your smart decision. For me, I will buy it, because I will keep buying Samsung phones.:-$
