Galaxy J3 2016 (SMJ320) head phones not working.

I have just received a new to me (second hand) J3 2016 phone and can't get the headphones to work. I plug my old Samsung head phones into the jack plug but nothing happens. The headphones remain silent and all the normal sounds come out of the phone in the usual way. There is no indication on screen regarding head phones and no mention of them in the user manual. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks.

Does the jack go fully in? Do you have access to another set of headphones to try?

Welcome to Android Central! If other headphones do the same thing, then the headphone jack is faulty. Contact the seller and ask about a refund.
