Galaxy Nexus $199

I called CS this afternoon and just iquired about the $100 discount and if so would like it applied to my account. After a few min on hold, the lady I was speaking to said I should be able to do it online. I told her It wouldnt come up, only the $50 NE2 discount.

She put me back on hold, did some more stuff and came back and said she could only get it down to $199 for some reason and was having her manager authorize the last $50.

More time on hold and after all was said and done, $149+ tax for the phone, unfortunately did not get anything about free overnight, but at that point, I didn't feel like pressing my luck. It'll show up Monday. Either way, Im good.

Im in Chicago btw if that helps anyone.
 
I had to call about 3 reps. The last one i spoke with i told her i was getting the run arounds about the 3g to 4g discount. I asked her to check promo Code CH4GE in the doorways system. So she put me on hold and came back and was like she found it, and could offer the 100 off plus my NE2 and overnight shipping if i want ahead and purchased the phone through her. Ended up being 184 with Tax, and im outside of Chicago. Phone should be her this morning :cool:
 
I got it to work here in Cleveland...sort of.

I went to my corp store told the rep and he said that if would apply automatically if I were eligible. It didn't work. He looked up the "midwest promo" and said it looks like it might be for Chicago only. Then he looked up my conversation I had with the phone rep on Tuesday and showed his manager. She asked him to call in. He explained to corp the situation and they told him to go ahead and honor it. He told them that they can't do price changes in the store. The put him on hold for a few and then told him that they would give me a $100 credit on my account after the 14 day return policy expired. I agreed and he made sure they noted my account.

So I paid $299 less my $30 loyalty discount and I will get a $100 credit back on my account. Worth the trouble to me. The extended battery combo (battery and back) was on sale for 1/2 price so I only paid $25 for that.
 
The YMMV factor is all over the place with this promo. I also got noted in my account that I'm eligible for the discount since I'm in Chicagoland. Went to a store last nite to buy and was denied by the manager, even though the note is on my account (I asked to see my account on their tablet). So I went home and called up customer rep to order it online. The customer rep spoke to her mgr and said that since I didn't get a card in the mail, I'm not eligible for this $100 discount. But for my trouble, they'll knock off $50. They wouldn't budge any more than that. I'm glad others were able to get the full $100 though. So YMMV.
 
I am in VA. Ordered my Nexus online yesterday for $249. Just called telesales and was given a $100 credit with no hassle using CH4GE. Also got 9.99/mo off of grandfathered data plan for 12 mos. Should have the Nexus delivered within hours...
 
Called telesales and was transferred over to a person in Customer service. He saw the note that I've called the day before so basically he said the same thing that I have to fax in the offer letter which I don't have.
 
I just called 611 and spoke to someone and they offered a lot of great help, but at the moment the $100 discount doesn't apply to me. He said it was something in Chicago. The rep was of good help though.
 
Ok so I ditched the idea of waiting next week and tried again just now. After being on the phone with 2 different CSR's and a guy from the loyalty department and his supervisor... I wasn't able to get the $100 promo. They also couldn't honor what I was seeing online which was $249 discount price + $30 credit(Which is BS in my opinion.. it should have been $249 + a $30 credit like it shows). For all the hassle and being deceived by their online system and a CSR on Wednesday evening they offer a credit to my account for $59.99. After taxes and all that stuff, I'll end up getting the phone for $210.00.

Another thing, my contract is expired and I tried to tell them I could go to Amazon and open a new account and get the phone for $149 but they wouldn't bite on that to lower the price anymore. I'm gonna test drive this device and see if I'm satisfied with it and decide if I want to return it and run my og droid until the price does drop on this device in a few months. Just for clarification, when you extend your contract(or new contract) you have 15 days to return the device with no restocking fee or does it apply no matter what? I know January 15 is the extended date with the restocking fee.
 
Just curious if anyone actually saw the $100 credit to their account yet. Mine never went through even though two CSR's applied it. Finally the last one told me that I wasnt eligible for it even though I had been told, but he did credit my account $75 for the trouble. Better than nothing.

Has anyone seen it on their account yet?
 
I was wondering the same. Is their anyway to check online besides waiting for the next bill to show up. I logged into my account, but it only shows my current bill.
