Today while I was out and about in the Plano/Allen Texas area, I decided to shoot some photos using the GN stock camera app in order to see what my new phone/camera combo was capable of. No adjustments were made to any of the photos other than cropping and resizing. (No sharpening, no color adjustments etc.)

My shooting technique was simply touching the screen to focus, locking my elbows to my side and gently touching the on- screen shutter to take the photo.

I also had good natural lighting since it was an overcast day here today. (I don't care what camera you have...if the lighting is poor...i.e. too bright, too dark, etc. you need to know what you're doing in order to get a good shot)

I shoot Canon 5D Mark II as an on-the-side photographer...but based on these real-world results - I would be more than happy using the Galaxy Nexus as my pocket shooter.

Nice shots! I haven't used the camera for more than MMS/communication purposes ("Honey, I'm at the supermarket... is THIS the kind of toilet paper we usually buy?") ;) ... but your photos have me sold on using it as a point and shoot replacement!

Nice shots indeed!

Any camera held by a pro photographer does make a big difference.
When you have the time, post up some night shots too.

Nice shots. I agree the Gnex camera is definitely adequate. I've taken some good shots with it. Still nowhere near the same league as my One X but still good enough and not going back to my One X now that I've had a taste of Jelly Bean.

Off topic: Love the Londoner. Wish they had a place over here in Rockwall in the Harbor development on Lake Ray Hubbard.

Outdoor shots are more than acceptable, taking pictures of my kids though i feel like it shoots before it gets a good focus on the faces. It's almost to quick and ready for the next shot.

Indoors it really struggles to focus on low light, more so than my Droid X, overall though it is a better shooter...
