Probably because you keep making stupid decisions. The Nexus is great for rooting and flashing roms. But everyone knows that TONS of people have signal issues. I have a Razr Maxx and I guarantee you the iPhone doesn't do a better job of making phone calls. Also, pretty sure you're full of shiz saying the Nexus can't make half of the attempted phone calls. Unless you live on the continental divide and even then, part of it is your service provider.
Also, how does the iPhone work better than 99% of all Android phones out there? You've seriously compared every Android phone to the iPhone? People like you are the exact reason I get sick of the pompous conceited Apple disciples that spit crap and never use legit FACT. Makes sense you want the iPhone, because that is ideal for those who can't think.

You obviously have never paid an ounce of attention. Apple updates their phones alright. The problem? YOU DON'T GET ALL THE SAME FEATURES!!!! The iPhone 3Gs and 4s will get iOS6 and guess what? IT wont be capable of running Apple's new maps. So yeah....they update their phones and that's great. Except that they really don't update their phones at all. I would rather wait a long time and get all the features of ICS or JB then to get it the week after it's announced and not be able to use my camera, Google Now, or the drop down notification bar.
Do some freaking research Apple fans! Take half a second to look into things before you put on the blinders and stumble in line behind everyone else!
If I had my way I'd rather be on the true GSM Google Galaxy Nexus rather than the Verizon phone for a variety of reasons.
Backup Assistant and MyVerizon should never have been put on the phone... it violates the principle of being free of carrier loaded bloat! but I think its a little extreme to say the phone is really bloated because of them... You CAN disable them although they do still take up some of your disk space... and seeing as the Verizon phone has a 32gb hard drive vs. the 16 GB on the true Google Galaxy Nexus... well.. I haven't done the math yet but there is a good possibility that even with the space that those apps take the GSM phone won't necessarily have more disk space ;-)
I'm not an apple fan and the 4s will get all the features numb nuts but the 4 and 3gs won't. And I own an Android phone just want jelly bean on my nexus already OTA style
One thing I really like about the Iphone.. reversible dock connector... this Micro USB can be tough in the dark sometimes
Wait... now didn't Samsung state they would sue apple if they integrated LTE in their phone? Incoming new lawsuit.......
All this iPhone bashing. If it gets good reception and can complete more than half of the phone calls it makes then I may get one. My Nexus can do neither of these and I'm on my third.
I went from a Droid to a DroidX to this. The phones keep getting worse. The Droid was a great alternative to the iPhone but I had two different ones with faulty keyboards and every update made the phone worse, plus the updates were slow. I get into rooting and roming with it and then my Droid X. All is great if you can find a stable Rom and want to go through a bunch of hassle to have a decent phone (i.e. strip all of the BS off) The DroidX HW buttons got gummed up but both it and the Droid got great cell service. I always had my eye on Nexus' and when the Prime was leaked I was excited. Then when there was a huge delay I became worried. They finally announced and released it and I was super pumped. Snatched the phone up and it mic muted my first call. Nothing but problems and slow updates since.
The HW design is beautiful, screen is awesome, ICS is sweet. But I get shish for reception and can't make phone calls. Those are pretty important features.
You can bash the iPhone but it will still work better than 99% of the Android phones out there.
I think that it is ridiculous to buy a phone that is bursting at the seams with bloatware from the carrier/manufacturer/third parties to the point that you have to wait for some hacker to break into the device, get around the encrypted boot loader and put some Rom that who knows who made. These Roms by the way are in various states of functionality and really only tech people would even dream of doing this to their phones. So most Android users are left with these unusable phones that they got for their job, were talked into buying and are stuck with them for 2 years. Android phones might have quad core processors and 2gb of Ram but there is so much junk that you can't enjoy it. My Dad's Bionic is so hobbled by junk that it can barely be used. Most people that defend Android are hackers and devs. Everyone else that has one was either talked into it by a Carrier sales rep (seen it happen) or just wanted a bigger screen.
Well I don't get service on my 3rd Nexus and can rarely make a complete phone call. So it would be an upgrade for me. It's awesome because I've started looking at other people's phones that are around me and their reception (verizon) is fine. Meanwhile my flagship Google Galaxy Nexus savior phone has no bars and is running down it's battery searching for one. Good times.
Three words for you; RAZR Maxx HD
Message brought to you by the amazing Droid Razr Maxx
Your enthusiasm for the Razr maxx is noted, and rightfully so, its a great device. But it's becoming a bit off-topic for these threads and this forum.. lets keep focused on the discussion, if you please![]()
I didn't find it off topic at all. I know i'm not a MOD so it isn't my decision, but when someone makes a blanket sweeping comment about all of Android, rBess seemed to be referencing a device that single handedly proved the blanket statement false. Sure he brought it up a few times, but that was to directly reference each individual statement by the previous commenter.
And to those who get offended by other people trying to convince others of their opinions: I don't think anyone here expects the others to agree with them. However, it's fun to debate their side of the ecosystem. For example......I don't expect Apple fans to switch to Android, I just desperately want to hear them give their own reasons that back up their claims. 9 times out of 10 I only hear them regurgitate what they heard someone else say, so their points become super monotonous. I want original opinions. And when they bust out stats like "99% of Android phones" I expect to hear their research of how they were able to test that many phones.
I am on my second nexus and haven't had any problems with either. Only on my second one because I shattered the screen by accident on the first one.
