Galaxy Nexus Wallpaper Thread (Some NSFW)

I downloaded the Android ones sent them to myself over email and downloaded them over the phone and went into the phones picture gallery and when I tried setting these to set as wallpaper, it wants me to crop them and when I try to fit as much as it lets me I set it and it looks like ass when I get back out to see the actual wallpaper, what's going on?

Try downloading them to your comp. If that's what your using. Then transferring them to your nexus directly. Maybe email realizes them to send. Or log onto this thread from your nexus and download them directly. Maybe it'll help.

there are a lot of 1440 x 1280 images here... They are nice too!

I registered so I could see them, but none of the images are 1440 x 1280

Just keep in mind the Nexus resolution is 1440x1280.

I don't understand this statement. On my Nexus, any 1440x1280 image must be cropped to fit as wallpaper. I don't want a cropped picture for my wallpaper.

I noticed this, too. Is it because the soft keys and status bar take space?

I took this photo on an Alaskan Cruise at midnight with my then Blackberry Bold. Its not too bright, I cropped it to fit the galaxy Nexus. The icons and text look good over it. I have yet to find a background I like better so I thought I would share Let me know what you think.

It's a bug feature of Android OS. If you use the native wallpaper selector, it'll make you crop the image, no matter the resolution.

Use a third-party app (I use Wallpaper Rotator) and it'll grab the images in the correct size (without cropping).
