galaxy note 3 cannot play video

I'm having trouble playing any video sent to me. It will play about 5-6 seconds of the video and then give me an error. Any suggestions?

my guess is that the video didn't download correctly. try having the vid sent to you again while both you and the sender is in a good lte area or even wifi. also the file may be too large.
