Galaxy Note 3 - Case & Covers Thread

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Post back when you get it.........interesting, the sides look like they have some type of "grip". If they do, I might get one. Had one for my S3, but it was too sleek......

I will if I ever get the fricken thing!

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

IMO, all good choices, except the one for $44+ and the one for $70+, :) Also, the concept of double case (slim case inside a pouch/wallet type case)IMO, offer the best protection..

I don't know about a slim case, since as soon as you take it out of the pouch, it has to protect the phone all by itself, and the chances of you dropping the phone while it's out of the pouch is far higher. The way I see it, the case is the first line of defense and has to be rugged, while the pouch is simply just a transporting accessory and doesn't need to do much protection.

There are actually some nice over-sized pouches that don't have any clips, and I think it's possible to buy the clips separately and glue them on yourself (using some kind of heavy-duty industrial strength glue).

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

It definitely is!
I got the Zagg invisible shield HD at best buy when I got the Note. The case and Zagg work great together.

You are on a roll.. : )

I am really on to protecting my Note 3, so I have double cased.. I have the Bounce, and they I have the cheap wallet type pouch to put the Note+Bounce in that..I can ever carry this in my bag, which I always have, or put the pouch on my belt..On the screen protector. I was using and old S4 screen until my Spigen Tempered Glass came.. Finally when the Spigen Glass came, I either didn't install it correctly or it was a bad one. Either way, I sent it back, and while I was doing that, I saw on Ebay a Chinese clone of the Spigen Tempered Glass for $8.55 free shipping. Jumped on that. Now, I am pushing two cheap cases and a cheap tempered glass, and well protected and happy.. :) The wallet type case cost about $4, along with $10 for the Bounce, I call that a lot of protection CHEAP!! ;)

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Just got my note today and bought the sview case for it... I really like the case. It provides ample protection without any added bulk. Price is a bit high but you figure you pay so much for a phone it deserves good protection.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I got an incipio it's not too thick but it protects the phone good I need it to be a little thicker cause I work at a mechanic shop

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Hi guys. I'm looking for a pouch case that doesn't have a holster on the back. I also don't really care for wallet cases. Any suggestions?

You mean a vertical-oriented pouch case without a belt clip?

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I got the Spigen Neo Hybrid in today and I'm not impressed. It looks awesome but it definitely adds more bulk than my Diztronic case, and the Spigen is WAY more slippery than the Diztronic. Overall I think this case is going back to Amazon.

I love the Diztronic case I hope they soon come out with more color options for the note .. I love black and it looks sharp on the black Note but a girl needs some color every now and then 😊

I just got this, too. It definitely makes the Note 3 seem easier to carry around. Love the screen info and the fact that you can answer a call without opening it up.

I prefer something horizontal. I just want something I can stick my phone in when I'm moving around without having a bulky holster. Maybe I'm just asking for too much :/

A new case review...

[h=1]Caseology Slim Fit Flexible TPU Case[/h]
I like the feel of this case... It does not add much bulk to the phone The feel is very nice. However, it does have one problem as I was testing this case as mounted in my iBolt car dock. Now the car dock fits just about any case including the huge Otter Box. So I mount my phone in this case, mount the case in the car dock and go to plug in the dock cable... and there it is. The one flaw with this case. That bendy iBolt dock cable will not seat in the USB port. Yeap, I fiddled with it to make sure that the right part of the cable was getting to the right part of the port... problem is, the lip on the cable hits the lip on the case right where the port and cable go, so the cable does not go all of the way in.

Yeah, this case will not work with that iBolt bendy dock cable... Oh bother!

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I have a Spigen Neo Hybrid on mine and it fits in tight, but not so tight that I have a hard time getting it out.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

This has nothing to do with regular cases, but I did use my Note 2 TPU extended case on my Note 3 with the 7500 battery. I warmed up the TPU (I just slipped it under my thigh while watching TV for about 15 minutes :p) and slipped it on the Note 3. The speaker is loud as ever and the flash is ok. It'll do until someone, anyone makes an extended TPU for the Note 3. I cannot, as hard as I tried, cannot go naked with this phone. It is waaaay too slippery.

...and no phone deserves to be left naked. Think of the phone.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Lol, that is true. I order my cases before I get my phones, and my extra batteries too. I suffer from BAD. Battery anxiety disorder.
