Galaxy Note 3 Verizon: Lollipop Update

Hey Man sorry to hear that... with phone on and no apps open do I battery pull. Then try one more cache clear while starting up. Good luck.

I have done a Factory Reset and had Best Buy flash the update and go over everything!
Can't get Voice Command & Hands Free to work properly.
Proximity sensor works sometimes and S pen menu popup does not work.
Was advised to wait for further updates!

Is there a clear all symbol when you pull down notification screen? I cannot find it. Never mind I found it. Duh.

I couldn't remember them all. And this stupid *** notification set up on lollipop is stupid. I dislike having stuff pop up on my screen all the dam time and when you turn them off you get no notifications at all. Like wtf. For example if you turn notifications off for Facebook you get no notifications at all for it. Ex messages, comments on posts even if you have notifications on, on Facebook. Not all that impressed with 5.0

Re: Lollipop is here...according to Verizon

Hi I woke up to the update just this morning and I agree with you, yuck. Lots I don't like about the update.

Agreed. That is what the status bar is for. I also prefer transparent notifications. I don't like how they white out everything.

Btw, don't freak out when the update hangs for 5 minutes or more on the red Verizon screen. I've never seen that before but it eventually boots.

Yes it's so dam annoying. I want My phone back. I would like to talk to the person or people who came up with this notification system. I feel like I have no control over my phone anymore. God awful folders, notifications that give you no privacy, also bring the tray tab back for the multi window drawer and every time I go into the ram/task manager part of my phone and clear the ram there's 30+ applications running....How/why I have absolutely no idea. I myself would happily go back to KitKat in a heartbeat. In which I actually got better battery life than I do with 5.0, overnight it drained 15% just sitting idle. I use to really like Google until about a day or so ago. I keep asking myself just what and the hell was Google thinking.

so far, about 1 hour in: i hate this update! the colors are hideous. the phone feels completely different.
ugh.

I have no icon for the alarm and I cant access it from tapping the clock. It is not listed in the pull down even... Thoughts? Also I hate the **** who wrote the article who still has black menus lol... I want.

I think the only way you can access your alarm is buy using the widget. I think.

I'm pretty sure the phone was rooted that's why there's black menus.

Is there any way to put phone into vibrate mode without entering the pin in the lock screen? Before the on-off menu after a long press on button gave you sound options on the bottom so you could quickly go to silent or vibrate without opening to the home screen.

(How to Disable Updater?) Re: Galaxy Note 3 Verizon: Lollipop Update

Does anyone know how to stop this update from constantly nagging in the notifications? I do not want to update right now. But, I also don't want to keep carefully dismissing this update for weeks until I mistakenly tap it and it starts the update.

I am in the midst of an important business period, where I don't need a bricked phone, non-working apps or a new learning curve. Don't have 1/2 a day to troubleshoot if this update goes awry. Not to mention notifications forced onto my screen, but I digress.

Is there an app that can be disabled or deleted on a non rooted Note 3 Vzw?

Just updated this morning. One thing that I found is that there's a setting where if someone enters your pin wrong 10 times in a row, it does a factory reset.

What I'm having trouble with is touchwiz. I cannot bring anything new to my home screen. Is there anyway to fix that without doing a factory reset? Or is a factory reset peetty much mandatory with a new software update?

Also, is there any way to change the colors?

:'( Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop updated yesterday. The lock screen goes off so fast that I cannot enter my password. I have to try for minutes (30 tries) before actually the phone gives me enough time to enter the password. Any ideas. Thanks a lot! :)

^ this! As far as I can tell this is a flaw. I literally have 1 or at best 3 seconds to enter my unlock pin or else the screen times out. No way to adjust the settings as far as I can see. Strange is the screen ignores my touch and will time out even after pressing the first or second pin number... Before I had to repeatedly tap the unused portion of the screen to keep it from timing out. Annoying, bordering on aggravating. Oh, oddly enough, no problems when the phone is charging.

Its actually harder than it appears. I make it look easy.
