Galaxy Note 4 Backordered at T mobile

Sammuel,
I just called Tmobile, asked to speak with the loyalty department, explained to them that I've been their customer for 5 years and I've been happy, even if I pay $300 every month! After explaining my frustration, all I heard was there was nothing they could do to make the phone come here faster, unbackorder it or anything like that. Actually, at first, she told me that I could not do Jump online, it had to be done in the store. No, I'm looking at a screen which confirms the order, it's already done. I just want to know how much longer do I need to wait. No answer, no one knows. This is a huge mistake on the Samsung side, which failed to supply the demand.
I'm not willing to wait for it forever, so if it doesn't show up by the middle of next week, I am cancelling my order and probably trying to get the Note Edge. But I have a feeling that it's going to be even harder to get that one, it's even more limited! Ugh.

Hey Anna. So weird, and so sorry that TMobile is still unable to help you. I just ordered another Note 4 today. It should arrive next week. I don't know what else to tell you.

I placed my order on Monday. Went on backorder on Tuesday, and I received it today. Have a little bit of faith and patience.

I called over 7 stores yesterday. Stores were sold out. I got lucky and stopped by a T-Mobile in a part of town I rarely visit and they had 2 white notes that they just got in. Extremely happy I didn't have to wait a week. Right place at the right time I guess.

Yeah, I'm wondering if I should just go to a store as soon as they open and get one and cancel the order... It's annoying to always call every store and to hear the same response.

Sammuel,
Maybe this is a South Florida problem. I don't know if it's so hard to find everywhere...
I don't think it's everywhere or South Florida. I live in Philly, and the phones are shipped from Louisville, KY. In fact, the 2nd phone I just ordered yesterday is being delivered today! I just checked UPS.

Just started new service with Tmobile and it shows my ordered is backordered too !?!? Hopefully wont take forever .

At least it's not as long of a wait for the iPhone. My wife ordered a 6 plus on 09/27 and it still has no movement. Trying to convince her to get the note 4 as she did have the note 3 and loved it. She just wants something different. I hope you all get your phones soon.

Yeah the T-Mobile site says "We expect the iPhone 6 Plus to ship in less than 6 weeks" -- That is a long wait! Haha :).

Well I ordered my replacement on Monday didn't get no tracking number called on Tuesday to get my tracking number and that's when they told me that the note was on back order. Went a Lil off on them asking if I wouldn't have called for my tracking number I wouldn't have found this out huh? So she told me it will be back in Stock by the 29th and she took off $25.00 off my phone bill plus gave me back my shipping fee for over night.. Then on Wednesday got a email saying it was shipped got it on Thursday 😷

4 days later, the phone is still backordered! I don't think anything is being done to remedy the situation. I guess tmobile is just telling everyone there is nothing they can do and everyone needs to wait. That way, they can get them off the phone/out of the store. It's really disrespectful and rude to customers who have been with them for so many years! Do something! I couldn't tell tmobile that I don't know when I'm going to pay my bill, they need to wait; they would eventually disconnect my phone.

I ordered my note 4 on the 22nd.... has anyone who ordered their phone last week received anything? My order still says being processed ..

When did you order the replacement? I just ordered one Monday that got delivered yesterday, which also ended up being defective. So I ordered another replacement last night and they said it will be delivered Friday.

This is my understanding of a defective phone on Tmobile. Correct me if I am wrong.

Last year around Oct I purchased a Note 3 from Tmobile, paid for it outright.. I THOUGHT it was DEFECTIVE. I called Tmobile and told them I am returning this one and since I am in my 20 day return window to send me a brand new Note 3. The agent was kind enough to inform me that I will get another phone, but it will not be brand new. I told the agent that was UNACCEPTABLE. The agent agreed and told me this was the policy on replacements. She told me the only way I would get a NEW phone would be to return the defective one for a REFUND, and then repurchased another brand new one. Even if you got the Note 4 on the earliest day possible like I got mine on Oct 13, you are still not out of your return window. Any time you return one for another, you will not get a new one..

Just thought I would put that out there. I might be different with other carriers.

That's only if you do a warranty exchange. If you're in your buyer's remorse period, they should not process it as a warranty exchange. They should do a return and re-order a brand new one.

I understand the back order situation even though it's frustrating.

What I am more angry about is I was never even notified that the phones were on back order. I went to a store to get the phone and it was not in stock (no biggie, totally get that) so I tried to order online and had issues trying to figure out the two lines since it would only let me purchase one upgrade at a time and I was not willing to just trust that it wouldn't be a crazy amount to add a second line. I called and they told me it would cost over $400 to upgrade both phones even after I paid off our EIPs. They offered the next day delivery ($25) without telling me it would be back ordered. I was transferred to customer loyalty and they were able to figure out the $400 mistake but processed the order with the next day shipping and promised it would be here in two days...

We switched to T mobile because we wanted to support their evolving business model and up front communication even though we don't have the best coverage in our area, I am seriously reconsidering after this debacle. I was only notified that the phone was back ordered once I called customer service to find out why it wasn't shipped. There is no where on the website or in my multiple forms of communication with the company where I was notified about the back order. The order shipment tracker on their website is not functioning and we have not even been given an ETA.

Like I said - Totally get the back order situation but I am LIVID over the lack of communication and am not sure I want to support a company who advertises being so no nonsense and up front and would become this sketchy over a back order...Starting to look around at other carriers...

That sucks. I hear your frustration and others. As I have suggested earlier, vent your frustration to the Loyalty or Termination Dept. They should be willing to get you your phone on next day delivery, and perhaps a small credit to your account cuz of the frustration and inconvenience. I do notice though not all folks there are consistent with their assistance, but they tend to have more clout than regular reps. I was able to phone order a 2nd Note 4 for next day delivery with no problem. Guess I was one of the lucky ones.

Just curious .. Did you look at the order page when ordering the Note 4? It may have said it there before you even placed the order that it would take awhile .. and this is why you didn't get any extra communication on the matter. Such as right now if I was to get a Note 4 and pay for overnight shipping ... I wouldn't expect it to ship for 4-7 days (even though I pay overnight) because they said it won't ship until then.
