Galaxy Note 8.0 - Connected to WiFi but unable to surf the web

I am using Note 8.0 N5100 i am unable to surf internet through the connected wifi network som time it also shows obtaining ip address but not connecting...in same wifi network i connected my laptop internet is working in it...please help me...

Same thing happening to me. When I choose chrome the icon opens and closes immediately. If I go to applications and select chrome same thing. I am able to connect to the internet using the internet icon just not chrome. I have been using chrome for so long I do not want to lose access via chrome. Wifi network shows connected.

I had the same problem (as REDS1949) with the latest update to Chrome (30.0.1599.92). I would open Chrome and it would immediately close. In the Application Manager I tried clearing the data/cache for Chrome - it didn't help. Finally I chose to "Uninstall Updates" for Chrome and then let it re-update through the Play store. That seems to have fixed things and Chrome is working normally now. Since updating to 4.2.2, I've had to uninstall/re-install a few applications to get them working properly...

What can of wifi access point do you use? It seems that there are some that don't play nice with the 8.0. I know there is a thread somewhere here that was discussing which ones weren't working.
