Knock on wood, I never had the protector for the Note 7 and I have not had one on the S7Edge. I have a thin clear case and I have dropped my phone a number of times, unfortunately, but I have no damage at all to the phone. I am not even trying a protector for the Note 8.

I know I've talked about this to death in S8 threads. But can someone please tell me if they find a glass screen protector which DOES NOT have that annoying glue on the right and left sides?

I would rather tilt at windmills than look for a tempered glass screen protector for the Note 8. All the tempered glass screen protectors I tried for the S8 were worthless.

You might want to look into the Whitestone Dome Glass screen protectors. They seem to be a really good one that's flying under the radar. It's a little pricey, but the coverage and application are better than most available, as well as it seems to be comparable with a good number of cases. Good luck!
