Galaxy Note 8 Tempered glass screen protector

I had a horrible time on my S8+ with the Zagg Curve falling and cracking but the redesigned for the Note 8 so I bit the bullet to try it.

It is thicker, black and the top and bottom and the adhesive has been changes and doesn't look ugly as it did on the S8+ edition.

It comes with a plastic slip on guide device and fits perfectly.

There is a fine dot matrix that I only see in certain light outdoors when the screen isn't lit. Zero off of sensitivity on the touch screen.

So far after two days I am impressed.

I took a chance on the Poetic tempered glass for the Note 8. I did a review on Amazon. This is what I wrote.

We got these on my wife's account but I am doing the review. My initial impression is that this is a decent tempered glass for the Note8. Time will tell of course as I go about using my Note8. All the stuff you expect is there...alcohol prep, soft cloth, sticker, glass. I did the whole steam up the bathroom trick and wiped down my phone. I kept on my Spigen Tough Armor case to line the glass up. Removed the adhesive, placed the glass down, and pressed the whole glass with the soft cloth. No bubbles and it looks great. I will update if any issues come up such as the glass lifting on its own or when I change to another case. Will also monitor loss of screen sensitivity. Initial impression so far is good.

So far no issues on mine or my wife's Note 8. When I set the glass down onto the phone, the Spigen case acted as a guide. I gently set the glass down and used the soft cloth included to press from the middle and outward all the way to the edges. I did this from middle to top and then to bottom. As I said, I will give it a couple days to see of any issues. My wife is keeping her Spigen case on. I have 3 that I am using so that may or may not cause issues. Satisfied for now.

Edit: Btw, when I installed them it seemed the adhesive was pretty strong, more so than last years offerings for the Note7. I could really sense the adhesive was strong when I pulled off the thin protective covering of the adhesive side.

So does the glass screen protectors with adhesive come off on their own or when you drop your phone?. Sorry for the dumb question first time owning a curved phone lol. I'm scared that the protector will pop off while in my pocket

In an ideal situation the tempered glass should remain on the device when dropped and its job is to crack instead of the phone screen. But the glass staying on is dependent on the amount of adhesive present. Design of the tempered glass is also a factor.

I am not sure what is up but the Poetic tempered glass for the Note8 is getting hammered with bad reviews. I installed them on my wife's and my Note8 with no issues so far.

So this one stayed on my phone all of 10 min before it started to come off.
I should note that I did have the phone in a case after installation and was very careful when inserting the phone back into the case, none the less, I'll be looking for another option.

I gave them a bad review on Amazon and they refunded my money. Then they asked me to change my review!

I dropped my Note 7 the night before I turned it in. The screen split in two. They took it back no problem - probably happy it hadn't blown up ;) I'll be covering my Note 8. I've ordered the Whitestone from mobilefun.com, they say it will ship on the 11th.

I have a Gpel glass screen protector and a clear Gpel case and they seem to work quite well together. Only problem is the case fits so well I may never get it off, but I like it, it shows the pretty gray back and the only issue so far is the pen is a little harder to get out, and the screen is a little less sensitive but I've gotten used to that and the pen just needs a little extra push so I imagine I'll get used to that too. If it doesn't work with the wireless charger I have coming as a freebie I may revaluate.

Good to know! Will don't the same.

Update: Found out that I ordered through Amazon Prime so I requested a refund through them and left an "honest" review for others that cannot be requested to take down.

Now the search continues for something that works!

Has anyone found one that sticks the entire back and not just the edges?? I'm ok if it does not extend all the way to the edges as long as it covers most of it with a small gap and sticks to the entire flat surface right before the edges start. I ordered one by Koharu but I'm guessing it will be crap....

Whitestone Dome Glass. It's a process, but so far, for what's I've seen for any edge device, it's the best option. Amazon doesn't have them yet, but I believe someone else posted they are available on eBay.
