Galaxy Note 8 Upgrade Link For $425 Off Not Working?

$425 off is NICE, but IMHO...especially with what the Note 7 owners had to go thru, the Note 8 should be FREE with proof of Note 7 purchase. Just my .02 cents
Mmm, they replaced my phone, then bought it back... along with the peripherals... gave anyone that asked for it a "gift" toward a 3rd phone and then allows a huge amount in a trade allowance towards the 8.

Not seeing the issue here.

Personally, I sold my S7edge for the same amount as the trade-in, bought a used S5 for $50 and got $240 in trade from it.

Plus the BB $150 discount.

Plus the Gear 360.

I'm thinking Samsung and I are square.

Plus I really like the Note 8.

I have been in same issue except it started on the 22nd! The link No matter what I did would not work(former note 7 link). I sent an email asking for help and received a response that my issue was being sent to the appropriate department and would hear back in 24 hrs. On 9/24 knowing it's the last day for the free gifts I tried again and the link as you all know was still down. I then emailed again telling my problem again but now adding in that I'm really upset as I was now at the deadline. I have heard nothing back and I'm really upset. I would have just called but side effects from a surgery I had in my neck almost two weeks ago has left me with no more then a raspy whisper. Ok what to do now.

I wanted to do the trade in for Note 7 owners, but ended up going into T Mobile and they have me the same $425 that Samsung wouldn't give me because I wanted to trade in my S8+. Unfortunately, they didn't have the unlocked version that I wanted, but I'm good with what I got.

May have been answered, but the promo seems to good to me true in the following circumstance. I go buy one of the listed devices that show a $425 trade in value from Craigslist for as cheap as I can find that is in great condition, seen some for 80, for example, I added a Lg G4 just to see, and it said -$425 credit.
The cheapest phones I can find are usually Sprint, however I'm on T-Mobile.

My question is, will I still get the credit if I turn in a sprint phone but choose a T-Mobile phone from Samsung's website

Yes, it doesn't matter what phone the carrier is on. Check out the FAQ's under the trade in page

Samsung went above and beyond on the note 7 recall. The only thing that Samsung was legally required to do was take the phone back and refund you your money. We all know most people scored several promos, a lot got to use a new phone in between recalls for free, got account credits, received $100 credit if stayed with Samsung, and now the $425 credit towards a note 8. Last year with credits and all the promos, I got around a $1,000 free, and could have gotten another $425 trade in this year. Then there were some that never returned their phones, from what I've read, those people got their money back and Samsung never did a charge back for no phone returned.

I think Samsung did more then enough on the note 7 issue. There were some issues, which are to be expected with a world wide recall, and most were probably because people were impatient and Samsung does not do a good job communicating, but in the end it was taken care of. Like the other guy, Samsung and I are square here.

Not verbatim but I know it doesn't matter what carrier the phone was on you turned in as long as it met the physical requirements.

Thanks, i think i misread your post. I read it as "it does matter" but you actually wrote "it doesn't matter"

Has anyone received the new e-mail with the new working link as of yesterday?

Does it allow you to select a free accessory?

I havent received anything as of yet, I sent mine off yesterday but was told it could take 3-5 business days to get the new link which is suppose to have the accessories attached.

Well, it had better come by the 30th - that's all I know. 5 business days will be October 2nd. (That figures.)

And, how do I go about getting confirmation that I can, indeed, submit my Galaxy Nexus phone, as the representative Kyle told me over the phone?

Call again upon ordering? Have them e-mail me?

Yeah, good luck with that man, at this point I trust nothing they (Samsung) is saying.

They seemed to be corroborating a lot of things others online were saying and what other representatives told me.

I've been calling them, and they've been giving me call back times that were over 2 hours long. They've been transferring me back and forth between departments for a couple of days now. I finally spoke to someone about 20 minutes ago, and told them that I've already heard there's nothing that they could do, but I let them know I was disappointed with their handling of the situation. The rep put me on hold and spoke to her supervisor, and now, they're going to mail me a promo code in a few days to get the sd card and charger.

This was after I called a few days ago and was told that all I had to do was order the phone and give them an order number and they'd give me the promo gifts since I tried when the site was down. When I ordered and called back they said there was no record of the call, and the first rep I spoke to didn't give me a ticket number, so I couldn't prove it. I do appreciate the offer though as a former Note 7 owner. They should get it together though. It seems intentional
