Two days ago I showed up at a extremely inportant meeting with my gnp and note 3 in hand. It was one of those moments that one finds out if you prepared yourself with the correct hardware to do the job. Needless to say I was able to take pictures and write notes on them in front of the bosses getting all of their input. I was able to have my note for behind the scenes note taking that I wrote information not needed to be viewed by others. TouchCad worked very nicely to draw the parts onsite. S mouse is huge to have for any CAD work on this device. The office software performed well to modify their docs and resubmit while never leaving the floor. Even though I was solo being able to collect, process, and submit the quote which turned into a order confimation that day changed my world and wallet! And in a way I think humiliating my competition who were still asking where the fax machine was when I got the signed order confirmation in my email.

Technology is great when its working. I just hate it when things go wrong for no apperant reason and you spend hours trying to solve the problem, which suddenly just disappears.

Re: My transistion is complete...

I agree since my laptop with autocad craps out on me and my work is lost each time. This was my first real world test. I really like the papyrus program for notes more than anything else.

This is a compelling feature I had not considered before. Is this the papyrus app you mentioned?

Re: My transistion is complete...

Papyrus has the feature along with s note. But I like the way papyrus does the layout I prefer and how it ui file system is something I understand. I have got a taste of what I like about various apps with my note 3 and made my grouping of the best apps in folders as to what I need to do. Then I can dual screen the apps so Hancom excel and papyrus can sit side by side.

Ha! Join the club: I help run my husband's construction business and the Note Pro has proved itself from the get go:
I use it to take notes, photos and draw diagrams when looking at a potential job, I use it to write estimates and send them to the client on the spot, then I use it to invoice.
I also teach and the Note Pro has everything I need to take notes, correct assignments and tests and send them back to students as well as great teaching apps.
It's an awesome tablet, indeed. I also use Maplets to plan backpacking trips.

@Evilguppy what app(s) do you use to invoice? Do you have a pdf template and then just write in what you need?

I don't use as many tools on the Tablet as you folks, only Office products, but I'm in the air right now on my third business trip sans laptop.

It's good to hear everyone's real world stories on how this device is replacing your laptops. I'm going to be in the market for something to replace our 5 year old Windows laptop this summer, and I'm considering this device, as well as the Asus 13.3 Transformer Book. I already own the Note 10.1 2014 edition, and my wife and I both use the Note 2 as our phones. Just not sure we are completely ready to ditch Windows completely at this point, but this device is making a good argument to do so.
