The $49 I got from Radio Shack was for an upgrade. Amazon had $.01 for new service or $149.00 for an upgrade.

Was the $49 for new contracts as well?

I drove around San Diego looking for one on Friday. I wish I would have known about the Sam's Club deal. Ended up paying $100 at the shack since the tax was more than the phone special.

Not complaining, though. This phone is awesome.

How do you like it? I also have the 9800 and have decided that I am done with the Blackberry. My upgrade is due on December 1st and am trying to decide between the GSII and Skyrocket.

I came from an 8900 to an HTC aria last December. I wish I got a captivate. If my upgrade was up now I'd jump on the gs2 deals. Lte imo isn't worth the extra battery life used. My bb lasted 2 days of constant use without a charge and my aria lasts 1 do I can't really sacrifice more tone lol

Maybe if I used music or video streaming or as a hotspot if get a skyrocket.

I just LOVE this phone. I used BlackBerry for years (8300, 8900, & 9800), but this phone is soooo much better. If you got one (and you should) you'll see what I'm talking about!!!

Yes and no. Wal-Mart has it for $100 bucks, but if you buy one between now and Dec. 3rd you will get a $100 gift card with the purchase. So, it is essentially free if you shop at Wal-Mart (and lets face it, most of us do).

Its in store only for the $100 price. Its pretty standard, their online and in-store prices are almost NEVER the same.
