Well I just went and looked at the galaxy s 3.
I always have to go look at the new phones when they come out
Yep, the One S is still Tmobiles best phone.

That is all.

Is it as plasticy as the previous two Galaxy phones?

Short answer, yes.

But it doesnt have the paper thin back that the S II has.

Its too big for my taste, and the weird thing, on the home screen you literally
lose a vertical inch of screen to the Touchwiz home screen widgets.

Plasticy and slippery feeling. But what do u mean by that you loose a vertical inch of screen to the touchwiz widgets?

I meant you lose the real estate from the dots down, close to an inch and a half vertically.

The One S has the home screen widgets built into the UI too, but you only lose
about a half inch of customizable real estate.

So by doing that Samsung has actually shrunk the customizable area of the home screen to less than what you have on a One S.

Probably not even noticed by the Galaxy fanboys but it was the first thing I noticed, that huge screen....you can own the phone but lose a huge chunk of the home screen.

Call me a Touchwiz hater I guess.......

Had a chance to play around with a GS3 tonight, and I feel really good about getting the One S and not waiting for this. The GS3 felt very awkward in my hand, too big for me. Also I much prefer Sense - don't care for TouchWiz.

I went and played with the SIII today as well, no buyers remorse here still quite happy with my One S. Not feeling the plasticky build quality and Touchwiz is okay but prefer Sense over it.

Coming from someone who changes phones about once every month and a half or so I have to say nothing about the s3 made me want to get it. Had the chance to pick it up but decided against it which confuses the hell out of my wife. She thinks I'm done with my phone fetish which isn't the case, I just already have the best there is.

Funny.... i was just going to start a thread like this. I was actually REALLY disappointed. The UI seemed very stuttery, nothing opened as fast as on my One s, and it just felt too big. I would also say that looking at them side by side, i couldnt really see a huge difference in the screen quality as well. I am very confident i made the right choice wiht the one s. the ONLY down side will be in the development department which i think the GS3 will have WAY more devs to pull from.

Also , i am still in my 30 day period with tmo, and COULD pick this up without an issue. i just feel that i already have the best.

I think anything bigger than 4.3 is too big. One X is too big, SGS3 is too big. One S is the perfect size.

also, touch whiz < HTC SENSE

I agree with the size and feel, the s3 feels fine, but not nearly as smooth as my one s. I also think the dev community for s3 will be much more active sadly, xda has some good stuff for the one s but it wont be half as full as s3. But aside from that, i love my one s.

I picked up the One S last weekend at my local Costco. I was really having a hard time deciding between it and the SGS3, but since you have 90 days to exchange I figured I'd start with the One S and decide later if I wanted to switch.

It's only been 4 days but I'm ready to go to the SGS3. Reason? The screen. The pentile display is driving me crazy. It's a shame because I love everything else about this phone. Perfect size, terrific hardware design and materials, and sense 4 is quite good. But the pixellated screen wrecks the entire experience for me. Hopefully I'll get used to the size of the SGS3.

I checked out the GS3 too. Impressive phone but at 4.8 inches, it is too large for me. Plus TouchWiz isn;t my cup of tea. Glad I went with the One S, works great, very few problems and I am very comfortable with Sense 4.

Nah, gs3 has it beat in performance, looks, and features.

Sense> touch wiz though

Can't even change the battery in the one s, come on now

sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III on T-Mobile! goodbye Sprint!

can go 24 hours + with the one s.... who needs to change the battery (although an SD card slot and NFC sure would be nice!!)

looks is an opinion, IMO the one s looks and feels like a much nicer phone.

I say they tie on the performance end though.... its the SAME SOC!!! (at least in the states) there has never been a SINGLE time with my one s that i thought "wow, this is slow"

I will agree with the features though. Sammy hit a big one with the s3 in that area... they just need to drop the touchwiz though for sure..
