Galaxy S10 Edge Lightinig doesn't work when screen is turned off.

There is something wrong with the screen edge lighting! Even if you have enabled it to work with all apps, only certain apps will trigger it.



WhatsApp, Instagram and few others do not work but Snapchat does work.

Never had this issue with my S9+ after transferring my data from my S9+ to my S10+ it all worked fine till I received the first OTA update.

Try going into settings >type Edge lighting > clear data ,cache,force stop see what happens

Well it did work before that's why I'm confused ! Its not a big deal for me, it's something nice to have.

I agree , I really dont use it much .
I prefer the s6 edge when you could pull a text or call from the side

Since Samsung removed the Led indicator it would have been nice if it was working flawlessly.

funny enough WhatsApp messages don't trigger it but voice or video call triggers it

I just tested mine yesterday I turned on 9 apps today it says only one app was turned on. I turned on 10 more sent myself a test text no light up anymore. Mine used to light up.

For me it says all apps are turned on but only a select few actually work. Like I said before they all did work when I first got my S10+ after transferring my data from my S9+ all it took was one OTA update ?????????????????? to break it!

Are there any additional settings, maybe Developer options to make the Edge Light work with the screen off?
Strange issue, I have no idea why it doesn't work when the phone is off.
I updated the phone lately, didn't change anything, maybe in the future a new OS will solve it.

Mine is set to show Edge lighting always and mine doesn't light up with screen on or off anymore and it used too. So an update must of done something maybe.

There is an app in the xda s10+ themes and app forum that I installed and is now working correctly. The app is called "Edge Lighting fix for all apps" go see if it helps you as well.

It's also a play store app..

Well, the fix you sent didn't work, it would show notification but without color.
