Galaxy S20 Launch = Complete FLOP !

I'm loving every bit and every minute I spend with the Ultra. Is is perfect?...abosolutely not. No smart device has that title.

Whats to love if its primary feature does not work as well as it should do for a device that cost 1,400? If you bought a car that cost significantly more then most cars on the market and afterwards discovered that despite it being a beast on paper , it would occasionally give you trouble when you need to be able to rely on it. Would you say "meh well its not perfect but its still worth the money" or would you not surely insist its not good enough to pay a premium price and end up with issues other/cheaper models do not have?

Whats the primary feature that doesn't work on your ultra? Oh nvm. I forgot you're the guy who doesn't own one but comes on here to instigate and troll everyone.

What issues are you talking about? The S20 line up are excellent phones.

It wasn't my trade-in. I had placed an order cancelled it and received an email for an additional 20% discount if I am not mistaken. Plus I got a $35 discount on top of the 20% and then my trade-in. All of the discounts except for the cancellation, come back, were on the original order I placed

First off a camera is not a smart device's primary feature.
Secondly, the price is not just the camera.

The biggest issue I have with your response to my post is: what do you care about what I like or love or what I spend?
I don't care what others like or love or what they spend. I also don't attempt to chase other people's opinions with the intent to minimize or criticize their thoughts. I'm pretty sure you don't own the device so from my perspective, your opinion is mostly hearsay based on old news because they have improved on some of the intial complaints.

If you don't like the device and don't think it's worth it, that's quite alright. It's your right to do so, but I suggest you do so without directly criticizing other people's opinions.

I feel like some of you guys should just get an iPhone and be done with it. They have overall the best point and shoot cameras on the market with very little work you have to do to get results. It's the "easiest" camera.

Don't like IOS? Who cares? It's all about the camera right? Who cares about the rest of the phone...😅

Booo.. on the negative title. Not even sure the point. The s20 line is undoubtedly the best Samsung has ever made, and a very different user experience with seemingly the most optimization Sammy has ever seen. Don't get fooled to think it's just another small itiration without justification. The price may be high to you but this phone has made Samsung great again to me! I was a Samsung critic for years. Try it before you knock it.

The only thing I miss from my iPhone is access to my Apple CC. But I have an old 6 upstairs in my drawer that's setup for that. Love the Ultra. That being said, Apple and Samsung make great products and its a matter of preference. Saying one is better than the other isn't accurate as what I like or you like can be vastly different.

I have an S10 and I'm not interested in the S20 one bit. In fact now that I think of it the S20 I'd the very first Galaxy S I'm skipping ever. It's a great phone without a doubt but the S10 is already fantastic AND it has a headphone jack which makes me feel like going to the S20 would be a downgrade.

People still use headphone jacks? 5G alone made it worth for it for me. It also didn't hurt that I got 50% off.

Yes, everyone I know personally isn't interested in the S20, even previous flagship owners of the S10 and Note 10 aren't even remotely interested in it including my one friend who normally upgrades every year. Now ad the fact that the Ultras super hyped camera is under performing and flawed focus is even making me consider sending it back for a refund.

The price increase I'm sure is a main problem when it's not really any better than the previous gen devices. The people I know that have low end phones that would notice the difference are too cheap and would rather use a cracked screen until it doesn't even work at all before they'll even get a new budget phone. Then take away features like the headphone jack and you have a recipe for low sales.

1) Too high of prices
2) Not really any better than previous devices
3) Flagship device has it's number one selling point (camera) underperforming and flawed.
4) Removing features like the headphone jack
Everyone I know is interested in the S20. There are plenty of people who post to these boards have bought S20s. People are buying them in stores. My brother's corporation is trying to purchase all S20s for staff. What are you talking about?

We are in a pandemic and people are saying the s20 isn't selling well. That's fairly amusing. Also, as I said, the S10 and s20 are two totally different user experiences. The s20 with its opttimization, hardware and refresh rate , now surpasses iPhone in fluidity and technology. I can see not being able to afford it but don't fool yourself to think its a small iteration until you've spent a fair amount of time with it. My take is that when people really start using the new Samsung, they will catch on in time.

Until the results come out and they give actual numbers it's all speculation. We can also find many articles where it's been reported sales aren't that great in general. Partly due to high price and partly due to the current situation in the world. It all depends on how you look at numbers and you want to justify if it's good or bad. I'm pretty sure I can also find articles which shed positive light on the overall sales.

You have to be prepared for the negative comments to ensue anytime you have anything positive to say about the s20. I think this forum needs a positive only thread to weed out all the haters. They're always lurking, waiting for an opportunity. Lol

Always lol. You speak positive and they try to tell you to hope for the best but expect the worst.

The best are the naysayers that come in and tell you those that aren't having issues are just trying justify their purchase.
