Galaxy S20 Ultra camera comparison vs Iphone 11 Pro

We'll have to see as time goes on and get more in depth reviews... but the few that we've seen... especially the really photo packed one like the TechRader showing comparisons in many different scenarios with the Ultra, 11 Pro and Pixel and even comparing to last years Samsung and tossing a OnePlus... I think we are seeing it's not "destroying" the competition.

It has a clear better OIS from almost all the reviews seen so far. Maybe better low light?? Has higher res video capability and the 100x zoom.

The one video from that girl (NothingButTech) that also did the three phone comparison, you also just saw her jump between the three in certain shots of what she felt were the best so right now it doesn't sound like it's destroying.

For $1399... shouldn't you be buying a phone where the camera does "destroy" the rest? Shouldn't it destroy the S10 cameras to justify the jump?? I know there are other specs involved in that $1399 price but that's for another discussion ($1399 for an Ultra... where the 11 Pro starts at $999 and 11 Max Pro at $1099 for their best cameras... do you think Samsung has priced themselves out of the competition?? Hell the + is more expensive and you get less camera!)

Maybe this is the year Samsung destroys the competition in camera

Here's an interesting video from this morning. I generally tend to like his reviews. His skin tone on the S20 Ultra is light years better than it is on the Note 10+. I really hope Samsung has addressed that and that it wasn't just a fluke. Skin tone in selfies on Samsung phones has always been...questionable...

I’m not Ansel Adams but I’m definitely not seeing anything with his results in the video that blow the iPhone out of the water. Those photos were nice but they weren’t as sharp as he was making them out to be. It’s a huge improvement from lowlight with previous Samsung’s but it’s not enough to convince me it’s better than the iPhone 11 Pro Max or Pixel yet. I need to see more evidence it’s as good as he states as I’ve seen several examples of typical Samsung results with out of focus/soft details.

Agreed. Saying "it blows the iPhone camera out of the water" is hyperbole.

I guess he may have an argument... As long as he sticks to the points he concentrated on... OIS and low light and the higher zoom capabilities.

I mean not sure if anyone noticed or wanted to say but he only really concentrated on the new features that the phone has where honestly expected to fare better and pretty much stayed away from extensive going shot to shot like the TechRadar article or the girls NothingBuyTechs video.

I guess thats how it goes with some 'influencers' when you are given a review unit from Samsung directly??

There are many more YouTubers known for more detailed reviews like MKBHD and look forward to seeing those to get a more balanced idea.

Just from seeing these initial reviews so far, it is obvious that the video (audio) recording on this device sounds exceptional! wow - l Can't wait to get my hands on this beast.
