Hi everyone! :)
First, i have a Samsung galaxy s3, and few days ago, it dropped about 70 cm on the floor.
So , obviously i was attempting for the worst, and i was right, the screen is black, everything work (Led,, Butons and Home) , the phone boot but there is nothing on screen, just black.
The screen isn't broken, there's any crack on it, so i hope that you will have some ideas to help me, i've unmount it for see if the inverter was disconnected, but it wasn't , i removed it and reconnect, but nothng happen, the screen is always black. I'm open to any idea wich can help to solve this, as well try all i can to solve this before change the screen. So Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english (I'm French)

Ps : As you can see with this picture, the screen isn't crack at all, same for touchscreen

Hum, the ribbon doesn't look damaged , but is it possible to change the ribbon of the screen? I've not unmount it to the part of the screen Ribbon, just unmount the motherboard.

Thanks ! :)

No idea. Just a guess as I know ribbons for full computers are pretty fragile.

Yeap from computer they're pretty fragile and sensible, but in computer they usually got two connection, wich permits to change them easeliy, but with phones, just one, and the source is welded, as here with the Galaxy s3 , my ribbon looks good, but i can't test another one, simply because i can't replace it, but thanks for the suggestion , any other idea? :)

Unfortunately, no.

Re, i've decided To unmount the amoled totally, so i remove the glass, properly without crack nothing, and the liquid crystals was exploded, so i just buy a screen and digitalizer without frame.
So the subject is resolved, thanks to you, i'll make a video of the mountage of the screen with my reflex when i will receive it, and i'll posting the link here for those who have the same problem.

Hi ! I receive my Screen without frame From USA, it just cost me 100 Dollars, so approx 85 Euros, (Without the frame), i mounted it and it works perfectly, i'll make a tuto of How Mount a GS3 screen Without frame :)

As you can see :

So i think this just happened to my phone. I am curious how do you know if the liquid crystals are exploded?

This just happened to me.. same symptoms.. light on top still blinks and when I press any butten the screen flashes a correct display for less than a second and then black... I noticed u said u were goina post a video was wondering if u still were.. thanks in advanced

He could you please tell me how you fixed it, plus were you able to salvage (save) any/ all of your contacts, pictures, etc?

Hi Jenova56!

This issue came Umeda my head, I dropped my phone in my hand and the screen was open again. I took a telephone repairman and only the screen was pulled out due to concussion cable that connects to the motherboard. Not so.
