Galaxy S3 dead screen with screenlock - how to transfer files

Hi,

I have noticed a lot of people struggling to transfer files from their phone to a PC when their screen has 'died'.

My partner had this problem and I was trawling the internet looking for a solution, only to find that it's not actually that hard!

Be helpful to the Forum and post the process so everyone can see. Not nice not to share.

Sorry guys, not been on for a while, the issue is with Kies, it wont access your files without you taking the password off, kind of hard when the screen is dead!

If you go on the Samsung website on the'find my phone' feature there is an option to unlock your screen remotely... Simply sign on to your Samsung account, hit the button and it will bring up a progress bar, one it confirms yoir screen has been unlocked connect to your PC and the phone will open up in Kies ready for you to transfer your files.

Again sorry for the late response! I'm more than happy to share I know how much of a nightmare it is! Took me 2 days before I realised this feature was there!
