Galaxy S3 Mini unable to go to download mode

I cant enter download mode.
I tried the combinations Vol. Down, Home, and Lock buttons,(enter recovery mode) Vol. up, Home, and Lock buttons (enter factory mode)
Any help pls..

You are trying this from a powered off state, right?

yes the power is off..

Not good. Without download mode, I am not quite sure how to fix anything.
Did you try rooting the phone?

i try to root it but without download mode the odin doesnt recognize the device..

Honestly, without either download mode or recovery, I don't know what to suggest.

Have you done this successfully in the past? This is very timing dependent.

Do you see anything at all on the screen?

Your second-to-last option is to try a JIG. That's a hardware device that will initiate Download (Odin) mode.

Your last option (besides sending it to Samsung for repair) would be a JTAG service.

If it makes you feel any better I am having the same exact problem. Not sure what to do or why it won't work
