Galaxy S3 text message lag

They did a software update or restore. Just wondering because as far as I know android 4.0.4 is latest and if there is newer I want the update also

4.04 is latest but theres different builds and baseband (radio software) updates

Same exact problem. Keyboard lags it flickers latest update. Sucks ass.

I notice my typing starts to lag when there are a lot of processes running or loading in the background...once I clear them it gets fast again....it is a bit annoying though

I am on Sprint and I had the same issues.... this changed when i started using the Swype keyboard.... but I am having radio and data issues.... and I bought this phone without subsidy

So did using the swype keyboard help the lag? I use the swiftkey keyboard and really like it, but it does not help with the lag at all.

I notice the exact same thing. When the apps and processes are cleared it does help a little bit. I think also it is when data is being transferred over the phone. If you send say 3 random messages back to back, the 3rd message will lag as in the words/letters you type will show up 5-10 seconds after you type them. I notice that this also happens when you are downloading anything, be it an app from play store or a PDF from an email (using data). coming from an iphone which has a much smoother OS this is pretty much not acceptable.
