Galaxy S4 and Adobe Flash with stock browser

So...I've heard that there is no way to install flash on the Galaxy S4 and use it with the stock browser. Can anyone else confirm this? I have the S3 and use flash with the stock browser daily. Quite a few videos are still flash based. For example, when the bombing in Boston happened I jumped over to both CNN and Fox News' sites and both used flash to display their Live feeds.

This could be a show stopper for me. Has anyone else successfully installed the flash APK on the S4 and then actually tested it?

Thanks.

The Samsung browser not only has flash working right out of the box, but many reviews state that it is faster then chrome.

Flash won't work with the built-in Webkit browser. After side-loading, no Flash love and there's no option to enable Flash in browser settings (unusual since the standard Webkit browser usually works with Flash Player and has that option). Have to use Boat Browser or others that support Flash.

Only way I could find and successfully implementation on S4 is:

1) download Adobe flash player from the link provided by smooth4lyfe. or from this link which I installed and worked flawlessly.

http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.54/install_flash_player_ics.apk

2) install it as per the instructions on download page.
3) Download fireFox from play store and install it.

Open the website in Firefox which has flash contents.
The webpage will probably show the place holder in place of the flash content.
Click on the place holder and your flash content will start playing.

BETTER THAN NO OPTION.

Dolphin works with flash as well. The default browser in the S4 is Chrome based, which is why Flash doesn't work there anymore. Just use a third party browser like Dolphin or Firefox for flash content.

But flash does not work properly on Firefox. It won't stream videos or it won't display videos that are on pure desktop. What Firefox does is that on desktop mode, it converts the video file to mobile so that on desktop, it appears you are using flash to watch the video, but in reality, you are using mobile. The reason I know this is that websites that are pure desktop with video files, Firefox cannot play those videos.

What I find strange is why did Samsung blocked flash player. Other phones don't come with flash player, but when you side load the apk, flash still works. On Samsung, this is not the case, and I wonder why.

You cant install flash on any devices from 4.0 and up but i found a simple way around it by accident and it actually works no special rood or permission needed, so lets start..
1. All you have to do is to download "UC Browser" from the play store link: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ils?id=com.UCMobile.intl&hl=en&token=pdC6BNPZ , (UC Browser is just a normal browser app but it has a way to download the genuine flashplayer app using its plugins feature)
2. once you've done that all you have to do is find a website using UC Browser that requires you to have flash player a good online movies website link: MEGASHARE.INFO - Watch Full Movies Online For Free on this website click on any movie for now and it will open up a page where the video is because you don't have flash it will just show a lego icon in the middle of the video screen.
3. Because UC Browser is able to download many plugins if you click on the lego icon UC Browser will prompt you to download and install the flashplayer.apk plugin press download and install it once downloaded.
4. That's it !! The flashplayer plugin which you downloaded in UC Browser is in-fact the official flashplayer application that would have been available to all android phones if Flash had not stopped supporting Android v4.0+

Now you have Flashplayer on your phone ant the process only takes about 3 to 4 mins, once you have the flashplayer installed you can delete UC Browser if you want. The flashplayer works on any browser you have installed or requires flash

THIS IS MY FIRST EVER POSTING ON ANY SITE SO TAKE IT EASY!!
