Galaxy S4: Email problems

A few days ago my email started crashing whenever I tried to add a sender or domain to spam. I have tried deleting my email accounts and readding them. I have turned off my phone and removed the battery for 3 minutes. I do not want to perform a factory reset and I'm not sure that rebooting in safe mode is my best option either. Please help!

Are you using the stock email app? Have you tried other email clients?

Yes I was using the stock email app. Even after updating to android 4.4 the problem still persisits.

Try Maildroid, CloudMagic, or Aquamail to see if they work.
