Galaxy S4 Message Preview endlessly looping in notification bar for long messages

I recently upgraded from my Galaxy S2 to a Galaxy S4 and for my business I have gmail forward messages from eBay to my phone as a text message as an mms. On my s2 I would see the preview and then if I checked the message or swiped the notification bar down it would clear just like any other message, but on my s4 its not behaving the same way. Regular messages on my s4 clear when I read them but when I get the long eBay message as a text message it will endlessly loop on the notification bar, and the only two fixes for this is to get a new regular text message to over ride it or to restart my phone, going into settings and checking and unchecking preview does nothing.

I would really like to keep getting messages from eBay and also keep the preview but it is really annoying that it loops endlessly, anyone have any idea how I can fix this or what might be wrong?
