My card does not corrupt anything but every 4/5 days I have to reformat it tried remounting it but says damaged files.this has only started to happen since my software was updated.so I am 100% believing it is Samsungs fault and not my cards
Could you elaborate on why you need to reformat the card? Is your phone saying that files are damaged or something? Have your found files, like photos or music, that have been damaged/corrupted?
When your phone says 'damaged files,' is it a kind of notification of some sort?
I don't know what to do with this...
My 64gb micro SD card somehow unmounted from my Samsung Galaxy S4. I just had it sitting there idle, went to pick it up and it said the card was unmounted. I went to the settings to connect the card and the mount option was greyed out. So, I turned then phone off, then back on, I even pulled the battery a couple times and it is still greyed out. I then tried to put the card in my laptop. It won't even show up in the My Computer menu. Has the card gone bad? Any thoughts? Thanks!
I've heard of this problem of the phone unmounting the card befor, but never experienced it myself. It might be a separate problem from this unless files are becoming corrupt due to the unmounting.
I myself don't know how it may have happened, but it could always be possible your card died on you? It could be something totally different though (correct me if I'm wrong! ). Have you tried resetting your computer and retried reading the card? Or have it be connected to your computer for an extended amount of time? [Since sometimes my computer won't read devices or portable memory, so a restart may fix the problem. Or, I would let the device be plugged in for a *long* time until my computer finally picks it up].
