Galaxy S4: SD CARD Issue in KITKAT update

Have recently (unfortunately) 'upgraded' to kit kat on my galaxy S4 mini. Now I can't use my SD card. Please will someone tell me when we can expect an update to put things right. How can I actually get through to a human being at Google so that I can ask them.

hey guys i wanna know that if updating android software on micromax to lollipop do we need to insert sd card..or dont need to insert at all while updating..so plz help me
