Galaxy S4: Soft bricked. Please help

I tried to downgrade my phone so I could attempt the domestic Sim unlock. I got stuck immediately.

I now downloaded a stock restore for MDC and I'm still getting errors and Odin says FAIL.

This is stock software. I'm now just looking for the plain ROM only. This Odin execution has the software built in and it doesn't work for me. I can't find any ROM only files.


Also if anyone was here in this position please help me and guide me.


It is stuck on the download screen then it gets in to the enter into emergency mode from kiess screen

I am afraid to say, that as far as I know, with the Knox bootloader, it disallows any downgrading what so ever. I have heard of this bricking devices. The only way out of this is to see if you can reflash the most current ROM, but I am unsure if even that will work.

Have to agree with Golfdriver. 4.3 can't be downgraded, and you'll have a hard time even obtaining a stock tar file for the latest firmware. Let alone getting it to work
Try using emergency recovery in Kies or going into a Samsung shop at a Best Buy. If those don't help, you'll need a replacement

Have to agree with Golfdriver. 4.3 can't be downgraded, and you'll have a hard time even obtaining a stock tar file for the latest firmware. Let alone getting it to work

just do a complete factory reset and wipe all the previous data your sammy device will be back at the normal condition !!

I found the OEM ROM for mk2 and flashed it via Odin. All is good. But I guess I won't be unlocking for T-Mobile anytime soon.

Wow. Both of those sites used to be great for getting the stock ROMs. Now that Hotfile shutdown I can't be sure it'll work. Starting to link other sites instead
