Hi im new. Im a mobile phone engineer and work with them on a daily basis.
I've had many issues with my wifi on the sgs4. Mainly connecting, disconnecting consyantly. Also not being able to get onto certain sites.
I discovered tonight that in my case, Kaspersky security was interferring. Firstly it was inserting a proxy server which was the problem with some sites access. And secondly, since ive removed kaspersky, my sgs4 connects to wifi first time and stays connected.
Hope this helps someone :)

Thank you! This does actually help me out alot!

I recently acquired a Galaxy s4, but it keeps on saying "obtaining IP Address" when I want to connect wirelessly on my Trendnet Router. After a minute or so it disconnects. help!! Louis

Thanks, I have had the same problem and thought it was a Firmware issue similar to that reported for DLink Routers.

I've now uninstalled Kaspersky and Wifi is working as it should. I've also previously found it impossible to get a satisfactory connection on public access points and this problem also appears fixed.

Delighted!!
