I have the opposite problem as someone else on this forum. The Email app *only* works on Wifi (and then it works just fine so it's not a login/configuration problem).
I can get my Gmail, surf, etc when I'm on 3G (no wifi) but no corporate email. Does anyone know why? :(

Check and see if the background data has been restricted. Go to Settings > Data usage > scroll down to Email and tap it > scroll down to Restrict background data and see if that has been selected. Other than that, I can't imagine why it would only work on wifi if your mobile data is on and working for everything else.

Go into your email settings ( you need to go in a bout 3 layers deep ) and there is a setting to only download email over wifi . Turn that off and you should be all set .

I know this thread is old but this may help someone. If power saver mode is on background data will automatically be restricted. Please note there are 2 power saver modes: power saver and ultra power saver.
