Galaxy S5 charging problems !

A

AC Question

I have an unlocked Galaxy S5 originally from Verizon that I'm using with AT&T. A lot of times, it would not charge, not even with the original charger. Even when nothing would be plugged into it at all, "unable to charge" and "use original charger" pop ups would constantly show. I don't think it's my charging port since my phone can recognize when it is plugged in. Tried clearing cache partition and hard resetting. None seems to work. Doubt it's the battery cuz I borrowed a friend's battery. What could it be ?

Welcome to Android Central! It still could be the microUSB port, because the contacts for data transfer are different from the ones for charging. It's possible for only one of those components to be damaged. Bring it to a repair shop.
