Galaxy S5: How's everyone's battery life so far?

Not sure if anyone has posted about this but it might be just me. The Galaxy Gear gen1 watch manager and its software eats a lot of battery almost 50% of on wake time.

You had the cellular radio on your phone off for most of that time. Was your phone in airplane mode for most of that time or is there a bug with the battery usage graph?

I am not rooted! I kind of just stumbled upon it in the app.

Yeah I just did a bit ago it is a pretty informative app

Very happy with my usage. On wifi all day streaming Pandora, texting and on Facebook. When I had my iPhone 5 I would have had to plug in 1/2 way through the day.

I just got back from a weekend at Coachella and compared to past years (with an S3) the S5 kicked ***. I had the screen on decent brightness during the day and low at night. Used data (Coachella finally has decent receiption and I was on LTE) and the camera a ton -- after twelve hours I had barely gone under 50%. I didn't need to charge it at all while I was on the ground.

Swipe your palm on the screen from right to left .
You must activate the feature first.

First full day pretty much all on LTE. Auto brightness, WiFi on but not connected, auto sync apps like Facebook, gmail, snapchat. Pretty good. Only the 2nd phone I've had that could make it through a 10hr workday let alone a 12hr workday.

I'm impressed with the battery longevity during standby. I charged the phone fully before bed last night and took it off the charger while I slept; lost less than a percent per hour.

Are you on t mobile? If so, could that be from wifi calling or whatever they call it?

The colour is for displaying the strenght of the connection. 2/4 for yellow, 3/4 for grey and 4/4 for green, or something like that.

That's one thing I was impressed with also. I lost around 1% a hour while connected to WiFi over the weekend also! Even during my normal usage better battery stats and gsam both say I'm losing 6% a hour. Seems pretty good.

What are u talking about terrible? If your phone has been on for 4 hours and u have 3 hours of screen time u have been using it non stop. Be lucky as most phones can barely reach 3hrs of screen time before being close to dead
