Galaxy S5: How's everyone's battery life so far?

I don't get this kernel usage.

Congrats and Very nice. Be careful though, couple trolls here are going to say that your pulling a fast one because they don't understand the awesomeness of the S5.

Just because they don't agree with you doesn't mean they are trolling. That guy got some good battery life but I notice his mobile data is disabled in that picture. Using only wifi and no mobile data will extend battery life... Of course you sacrifice the things you can do with mobile data but for some.. They may not need it so... Bonus battery life :).

Well here is what I have so far today. I really haven't done much so I am kind of surprised that it has drained so much. uploadfromtaptalk1397418671043.jpguploadfromtaptalk1397418682493.jpguploadfromtaptalk1397418691633.jpg

I'm always very conscious when it comes to battery life on my phones.
On Sundays I usually stay indoors, so yes. 3G/LTE was disabled and sat only on Wifi (when I used my phone and needed it) for the entire period. I'm also running my screen brightness at about half value, since I prefer dim displays.

I've been on WiFi all day. I have been heavily using the S5 by downloading apps, rearranging things, making zooper widgets, logging into all accounts and this is what I have so far. I am very pleased:

Last night before bed I was at 17 hours with 6 hours of on screen time. 15% was battery

I'm sure I would have made it to 7 if I stayed up until 5%

Getting Google location and sync under control is very important for battery life during idling. I always turn off location report, history in location setting and do the same in Google+ setting for auto backup, sharing. Very high Android system usage could be indication of google services are drinking too much juice.

Turning off location report/history is not the same thing as turning off location completely. it will just help with reducing battery drain from Google apps like google+, google now. All the location service requests from apps will work just fine as long as location is on with data and/or GPS.

Going to bed tonight with 45% left - screen time on almost 5 hours.

I was home on wi-fi most of the day and used my phone quite heavily - really happy with these results! :D
