Galaxy S5: How's everyone's battery life so far?

I actually have power saving mode on all the time and still, bad battery life :( if I got a bad battery is there any way to replace it? Ive turned off gps sync and a bunch of apps and my battery decreases by about a percent every 8 minutes! Its ridiculous!
Post up your battery status. Something is draining the battery, not a bad battery.

That right there is why you get such good battery life. Everyone could do that with any form of Power Saver turned on.

yep, i love it, considering it doesn't really slow my phone down at all or have any noticeable negative effects. Haha it's pretty great. I have yet to ever use the ultra power saving mode though

Ive had mine 2 weeks and I was using 2 x batteries every day from 100% to shut down. Each battery lasting 6/7 hours. All apps disabled and app killer and Battery monitor was installed.....still no good. Also experiencing very hot screen at periods throughout the day.
Yesterday I downloaded " Juicedefender " from play store and my phone is currently sitting at 27% and has been in use now for the last 15 hours.... A dramatic improvement with one app.....Very happy now. Highly recommended.

Something over the last 2.5hrs has caused my battery to plummet. I've already disabled all the carrier bloatware that I could and have GPS and Sync off. Usually get pretty good battery life. For example, took my phone off the charger Sat morning at 6:30am and didn't plug it in until last night around 9:30pm and had 14% left with a lot of usage. but today, when I checked my phone before I went to lunch, I was around 84%, which is normal for me around noon. when I got back from lunch at 1, I was around 74%. only checked 1 email while I was at lunch and wasn't on the phone any besides that. I'm now at 50% and have only checked twitter once and the settings and battery dr to see what's going on. Only thing I can tell is the Android System is normally around 20%, but has jumped to 44% for some reason. I haven't downloaded anything or changed anything. I've even restarted the phone twice. Anybody got any ideas?

Android system is draining your battery. Go into Application Manager and start disabling apps. Becareful what you are disabling though.

Whatever it was draining my battery, it stopped. When I got home, it was around 30%. I charged it for a few minutes and got it up to 50% and that was around 5:30pm. at 9:30, it was at 44% with moderate usage. Crazy

Since last update (4.4.2) my battery life got a lot worse.
Before the update I would end my day with +/- 56% left, and consider me as quite an intensive user.
After the update it can barely last a day, I am even forced to use the power saving mode, turn brightness lower and the other casual stuff.

How many hours of screen time until 4%? Because that's not great by all means.

Re: How's everyone's battery life so far?

71 percent battery with 4 and a half hours screen time? Can you show the rest of the graph.. There had to be some charging there :P.

Re: How's everyone's battery life so far?

I'm at 1 day, 4+ hours and 48%. Screen time on is 2h 34m, 27s. Thankfully, I'm not trying to set any world (or androidcentral.com) record. I'm very pleased with my cell phone life style/habits and the S5's battery :) PLUS I keep all the "fluff" activated :) Just got rid of a few apps I'd never use.

We set the bar here at Android Central. If my phone can't last 2 days worth of display time on a single charge its not good battery life. Plain and simple!

I have no idea if this is good or bad so.....
