You guys will definitely have to be on hand and walk me through this thing...coming from pampered iOS for the past seven years, I'm trying to get a rangle on this phone. I'm not the dullest lip gloss in the makeup bag, I know I'll make it. LOL I am glad I get to customize it. I'm just trying to get all my past text messages on this phone.

Don't worry. We are here to help you in any way we can. You are in a great community of tech enthusiasts! :-)

I'm in the same boat as you. I've had iPhones since the 3, have MacBooks and iPads still, but I love this phone so far. Its just a matter of learning new ways things are done and all the extra things you can actually do with this phone. For me the hardest part has been finding where all the menu options are to do what I am trying to do in terms of customizing

Also take a look at this thread. Have to totally disable and log off of imessage. Good luck.

Re: Today Is THE Day!

Hope our Friday arrivals are on their way or already in your hands!

Figured out the text thing...the app itself (Smart Switch) wasn't enough; I used the Desktop version and got all my texts, alarms, calendars, etc. to the phone. If you want to keep all of your texts, be sure to turn off the default "Delete old messages" on the Galaxy.

Just found out that Mailbox dropped for Android a few days ago and I am in heaven, bc I hated every email client I came across. Gmail included. (i just need it to have badge counts for my launchers now).
