Galaxy S5 Verizon Pre-Order Thread

The wife and I fiinally broke down and ordered ours yesterday afternoon. We're VZ and we lost unlimited data on both lines, but it was apparent to me that we were going to lose that sooner or later anyway unless we bought retail, and that's not happening with her. The wife unit handled the negotiations as she's a hungry shark when it comes to that stuff, she got us a good deal, lots of data (far more than we actually ever used even when I was stuck in the hospital for several weeks with a sick relative) spent over an hour on the phone with them, actually hung up on them once or twice, lol. Anyway, we have one black and one white on the way, the "ship by" date is 4/14. We're really looking forward to the upgrade from our Bionics.

If you're coming off unlimited, once you activate your phones you can call Verizon and tell them you want to go on the $30 6GB plan (that's per phone).

Ordered on 4/4. Tracking number just changed from the IP address looking number to blank. Credit card not yet charged.

If you're coming off unlimited, once you activate your phones you can call Verizon and tell them you want to go on the $30 6GB plan (that's per phone).

Does the $30 6GB plan still work? Everything I saw indicated you need to be on the Edge plan to do it.

Ordered it the day it was offered for pre order. I cant quite remember the exact date actually just verified it was APril 4th!

I guess if you still haven't gotten any updates, I've got a ways to go considering I ordered Monday night. This is kind of pathetic, especially considering AT&T folks are apparently getting their devices 2 days early. Come on Verizon...

Ordered mine on 4/4 (mid-morning in Tucson). Saw Fedex number on order confirmation page by 10 am Tucson Time. To be delivered by Fedex Friday....Tucson time....lol

I cancel my Pre order since Verizon wanted to place my order on hold for 7 days. I called them since I received a email about it. They didn't have a idea why it was on hold. I will be heading to a store.

Could it be on your hold because your account is past due? I'm only mentioning that because earlier in the thread you had asked about phones shipping with past due accounts.

I made the payment and I did ask that question they no it doesn't affect the order.

you could have sold both unlimited plans on ebay for 300+ each-....perfectly legal...

Yeah, when I went into the store the first time, the first rep didn't say jack about it. Went in a few hours later and the guy flat out told me "Oh, apparently since you had unlimited data, you get 6GB at no extra charge" . I'm on a nationwide plan still with no Edge.
