Galaxy S5 Verizon Pre-Order Thread

Ordered mine Monday around noon. Checked my bank acct . this morning and the money is locked out for the phone . Still no tracking number . I expect I'll get the tracking number later today . Fingers crossed .

Update got my tracking number around 11:30 . Should be here by 8pm tomorrow night . My 64gb Micro SD card came today too.

Hey man, just curious did you have 2 lines eligible for upgrade in order to get the BOGO deal? Because I have a share plan with 4 lines but only 1 was eligible right now and other won't be till end of May and they wouldn't let me do it unless I added a line. So I added a new line for now and when the other becomes eligible I am going to cancel that line and transfer the number to the new line they said would work. I don't know how you got the deal if only one line was eligible for upgrade and did you do it on phone or internet?

I don't know. I'm still getting my two rebates on two different lines. One of the lines had its Upgrade Discount, and the other didn't. We took an upgrade off of another line and I signed the 2 year agreement. You shouldn't need a whole new line.

Here's is a confirmation email. I crossed out the numbers, but both lines have been active for about 6 years now.

And one more question to people in here who have got their tracking numbers, when you go to the order status page on my verizon website where it says order number and then order date, what date do yours say? Mine says 4/8, but I really ordered it on 4/4 so don't know if thats because thats when they took the money out of my charge card or what, but I still have no tracking numbers and I ordered on 4/4, starting to get worried it won't be here tomorrow.
 
I ordered on 4/7 and I now see a Fedex tracking number on the order status website. Fedex tracking says estimated delivery 4/11.
 
My tracking number field is now blank, it use to show my IP address. I ordered on the 7th. Still hoping for a Friday delivery!
 
Ordered Monday night, previously it said 4/7 with the IP tracking, that's gone. now in My Verizon it says "order still processing" and lists yesterday as the order date.

Ordered on Tuesday morning 4/8. Last night when I went to bed it said order processing (before it showed my ip address and that it had shipped). This morning, no change. After I settled in at work, I checked VZW and it showed the tracking number. Tracking shows it will be delivered to my work tomorrow 4/11. Still no confirmation email from VZW.
 
looks like it doesnt matter when you order everything is just random, if i dont see a tracking with delivery for tomorrow by 3pm est, ill just cancel and pick it up in store tomorrow

Well that's good news. Hopefully sometime today the rest of us will get tracking numbers with delivery tomorrow, too. My "order date" remains 4/7, the date I actually ordered it.
 
I'm buying the S5 at Costco's cell kiosk since they know a trick that can keep unlimited data. I did it for my wife about three months ago when I upgraded her from a Droid 4 to a S4 and got to keep the unlimited data and paid the upgrade cost, not full retail. I checked with the same employee that helped me with my wife's phone this past weekend and she assures me that she can do the trick on my phone/line to keep the unlimited data and get the S5 for $189. Just an FYI to some, you might want to inquire with the Costco kiosk people if they know the trick to upgrade and keep the unlimited data. I will be there at opening on Friday morning.

Please do tell me how to go about doing this!!! I have unlimited data but don't want to lose it... can they do it over the phone? We dont have one where i live =(

I have no options to reroute to local store, it doesn't look like it will let us do that with this shipment. I checked yesterday and today, there is a FedEx store two blocks from my work.

You'd have to be a Costco member to purchase a phone from costco.

I ordered on 4/7 and I now see a Fedex tracking number on the order status website. Fedex tracking says estimated delivery 4/11.

What time did you order on 4/7? I ordered mine at 8:04AM EST and it still says processing.

I now have a tracking number. Ordered on 4/5. FedEx says it's not a valid number yet, but I'm hoping it'll be here tomorrow.

Well I've finally gotten shipping information on my GS5. Scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

I did have to manually check order status, though. No email was sent.

I'm a business customer, so they automatically ship everything next-day. I suppose this is why they processed my order Tuesday night and then didn't release it to FedEx until today. They don't want anyone getting theirs before Friday.

Pre-ordered online at about 8:30AM on Friday, 4/4.
 
Update for any Edge customers, this is what I received from a Verizon rep:
