Galaxy S5 Verizon September Update.

Was so hopeful, but after 24 hours my bluetooth audio dropouts are back. Anyone else still having issues after the update? (That had them before of course)

I noticed that the WiFi and Data are on at the same time after the update. I called Verizon Tech Support. They are saying that it is part of the Update. It is part of VOLTE.(Voice over LTE). They said as long as the arrows are not flashing under the 4G and the arrows are flashing under WiFi it is fine. When I had this problem last week before the update Both WiFi and Data was running at the same time. It was the caller ID App. After that was removed the 4G faded out while using WiFi. I will watch my Data just to make sure.

Anyone else notice that the battery has gotten even better than it was . Normally I'd be about 65% by this time of day 12.5 hrs. Today same usage I'm at 79%.

After the update, I did a factory reset and when the apps were re-downloading I noticed that Hangouts crashed. Did anyone else notice this?

I had the same update failure issue. Also, The default camera app would constantly "stop" prior to today, so I just installed a third party app.

When the update failed, I figured it was time to go to Best Buy and have the phone switched out. The Samsung tech at Best Buy completely wiped my phone (with my permission) and re-installed the factory firmware. After that, the native camera app worked fine, and the update completed successfully. Now on Android 4.4.4. He said that they have seen several S5's (Verizon) that needed this to be done. He blamed it on Verizon's Knox Security, but who knows?

Anyone else getting prompted over and over for the VZ Visual Voice Mail after the update? Every reboot it shows up so far ..

I also noticed getting prompt over & over for the Visual Voicemail. I also noticed that when you are trying to take a picture & the camera is trying to focus, it doesn't show green anymore which to me is confusing.

The S5 battery life has been awesome for me too, yes

I'm a heavy user, so I use an extended battery that is 6400mah, after 3 days of heavy use, I'm at 81%.

Since the update yesterday to 4.4.4 the song names no longer update on my car's interface when streaming audio. My car's radio used to read the artist and name of the song that is playing VIA bluetooth, and now the song name gets stuck on the first song I select. I can change tracks up or down, but the display still reads the same song info that I initially picked. The only way to get it to change is to change the artist. Anybody else experiencing this??

Also, emojis on the Samsung messaging app are quite laggy for me and do not load. Had to resort to using hangouts

Posted via Android Central App on my Samsung Galaxy S5, please excuse the brevity.

Where'd you get that extended battery?

I got it at Hyperion EA

Do a google search for that name, it comes right up, and they even have a case for the extended battery as well.

Make sure to read the label about charging if you get one, very important.

Nice. I'm assuming you lose the water resistance, right? Most of the larger batteries I've seen do. I like having the water resistance day-to-day (I ride a lot and carry the phone in my jersey), but I could do without it on vacation, where I regularly go days between having access to AC power.

Yes you do loose the water proof cover, but the extended case is actually pretty cool for the extended battery and back plate, as long as you don't drop it in the ocean you should be just fine.

Hey... I was updated to 4.4.4 and other than the "VZWAVSSERVICE" error message no longer appearing nothing else changed. You said you got visual voicemail. I did to,but it doesn't work. I called my phone from my landline and left a message and it says no voice mail. Also, in settings I set it up to use the automated message using my phone number not the voice greeting that I previously had. It's still using my voice greeting.

I chatted with a useless Verizon Chat rep that basically wasted over an hour of my time.

Is your visual voice mail working on your S5? If so, did you have anything you had to do to get it to work?

Thanks in advance for your help!
