Galaxy S6 4x1 weather/clock widget, weather not working/updating

I have an s6 and the factory installed 4x1 clock/weather app no longer works. The clock still keeps time, but the weather icon on the right hand side does not show the current weather, will not update, nor will it allow me to touch the widget and enter into the settings/different cities. It was working fine up until about a week ago. I've tried restarting my phone and removing/re-positioning the widget, but no luck. It can't be uninstalled as it came with OS.

Go into settings, application management, all, then find weather daemon. Clear cache and data then reboot. See if that helps.

Thanks Gator352, but there doesn't appear to be a weather daemon, maybe that is the problem. The only weather app I can find is one that looks like a cloud/sun, in Applications Settings, if I click on the Weather icon, it immediately shuts down "Unfortunately, Weather has stopped working." I can't even adjust the settings.

Lol, no. Go into phone settings, applications, application manager, slide to all, find either weather daemon, or anything that has to do with weather and clear the cache and data.

Is that where you went? Or did toy just go into the app settings itself?

I think I fixed it. The weather daemon had been disabled, I enabled that and it seems to be working. Thanks, I wouldn't have known to look for the weather daemon.

Your welcome! Glad you think you fixed it!

Many thanks. Had exactly the same problem and no idea how the app was disabled as it was working fine. Cheers for the help

The clock on my weather widget did not readjust for daylight savings time. I tried clearing the cache and data as you suggested. It worked but then when I turned on the location setting for the weather, it went back to the way it was. Please help.

Got the same exact problem, plus no weather daemon found at mentioned place. Only 'weather'. Did clear cache and data though, but nothing works.
Any advice?
Thanks!

I'm having the same issue except when I go into the weather on the application manager there is no option to clear cache just a force stop option.

If you click on Storage, you'll see Clear Data and Clear Cache. I did this and then reset phone but its still not working.

If you click on Storage, you'll see Clear Data and Clear Cache. I did this and then reset phone but its still not working.

When you go to Application Manager click "more" and then "show system apps". When you scroll down there are (for whatever reason) two copies of Weather. I Force Stopped both and after rebooting it seems to have fixed the problem.

I did all the tricks that were suggested and my weather app still has the same error , " Unfortunately, Weather has stopped."

I tried all of the above nothing worked. Then I removed AVAST and it came back up. If you installed any anitivuse pgms. Check if it may be blocking it.

If clearing cache does not work, try a network reset. It worked for me. Keep in mind you will need to recreate your wifi and bluetooth configs.

Jump into settings > backup and reset > and then do a network settings reset. Restart your phone and see if that gets it working again for you.
