Galaxy S6 Active: Not responding black screen.

This totally worked for mine! ;) thanks! I would have thrown it and it cost me $700

So I tried everything before I was able to get online and look. I Found this post and tries it and now it's perfect. Thank yall so much bc I was about to freak out..

Any other thoughts on how to fix this? I've had the phone for under a week and it went black today. I've treid the soft rest, I've tried having it plugged in to a wall charger, plugged into my computer, nothing. Screen is totally black. I know the resets are happening because the led light stops blinking when it turn off and then starts blinking blue again when it turns back on. Any other trouble shooting options would be super appreciated!

My boyfriend has been through four of these God forsaken phones and the last three the screens have gone out in about two weeks. They keep sending replacements and the exact same thing keeps happening. He is at the point that he wants a completely different phone all together.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, and my screen has also gone black. I've tried all versions of a soft reset (Home+Power+Volume up/ Power+Volume Up/ Power+Volume Down, etc) and nothing has worked. Granted, this did all happen because my phone fell, but I'm hoping someone can help me with another solution.

Just some additional information on my situation:
My led notification lights still work. I can still hear the start-up sounds and notifications sounds, but it is a little bit muted/ softer than usual (and I don't think it's because my volume is low or anything). My phone will still charge, as indicated by the led lights. But the screen is completely black and I don't think it's responsive to my touch (then again, I can't tell for sure since I can't see anything).

Trading my phone in for warranty is out of the question because I'm out of the country and I've had the phone for over a year, so I'm sure it would have ended, anyway. PLEASE let me know if there's anything else I can try that doesn't require me getting a new phone. >< Thank you in advance!

Man (the person who dropped their phone), everything about your issue is exactly like mine, with the exception of hearing the startup and notification sounds (but I had those turned off). I'm pretty sure it's a physical component problem for us -- probably some faulty connection that came loose with the drop. My drop was only about 1 foot...!

I'm even out of the country, and I assume the warranty is a no-go as well (because I bought it new from a third-party).

If your Galaxy S6 has become frozen and will not respond to anything, try a soft reset. A soft reset will restart the device and will not erase any data.

Press and hold the “Power” and “Volume Down” buttons for about 10 seconds until the device powers off.

Thank you soo much it works... GOD BLESS U..

Just happened to me and the soft boot completely worked. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
