Galaxy S6 Alarm is useless

I just woke up late! If you're not careful, the am/pm toggles even without touching it And the the keypad sucks, when you save the alarm, it register another time!

One of the things I like being back on iOS is that I don't need 3 apps of the same thing because the other 2 that came with the phone are crap and can't delete them.

I love my new galaxy s6, but coming from the Galaxy s4, I am so disappointed in the alarm! NO ability to set snooze time, doesn't tell me how much time till the alarm goes off, and the flippy interface is a pain! Any way to fix any of this without using a 3rd party app?

I tried Timely, but the alarm only seems to sound when my media volume is up which worries me. I'll test it more but I'd rather not have to use a 3rd party app.

I seriously don't understand companies that remove perfectly functional features for no reason. It's very frustrating.

Use S Voice to set it and it will tell you how much time you have until the alarm goes off. Say "Wake me up at 5pm" and it'll set an alarm for you

I do have to agree that the alarm function (more than 5 minute snooze) and voice control on my G4 is way better than this alarm.

Maybe Samsung will see their and add it back.

I am confused because I have the S 6 on Verizon and my alarm clock allows me to use snooze.

Yes but the snooze time is not adjustable and is set at 5 minutes. I prefer 10.

100% agree with drinfested. I had an old Samsung with an amazing features of alarm control exactly as you said plus display on home screen with full control.. here.. I can't do anything.. it is frustrating.

Don't think the problem is really with the alarm.
Think the problem in nobody can got to bed at nite. Therefore you can't get out of the bed in the morning.

Was talking to the AT&T store yesterday.
They was saying some new patchs was coming out for Lollipop on the S6.
That some of the older phones got it 1st. But we should be getting it soon.
Now if this patch will help your problem I don't know.
Go to the AT&T corporate store and whatever and ask.

It's an alarm clock attached to a smartphone not the other way around. Granted it's lacks a sensible option but it does it's essential function. There are also free apps that you can download. I will definitely see what changes with the upcoming updates.

Although I have gotten used to the 5 minute snooze, I was livid at first. Even a basic entry level smartphone should have an adjustable snooze baked in. To me, there's no excuse for not having that feature anymore on any smartphone. With a flagship phone, this thread should never need to exist.

You're right. It Is what it is. In the redesign, it obviously wasn't a high priority compared to the other design issues. Hopefully, a patch resolves it.
