Galaxy S6 Alarm is useless

i agree! i've had my S6 for about 2 weeks now and have to set my alarm daily.

What i'm struggling with though is that when the alarm goes off, i swipe to turn it off but nothing happens...if i try to go to home screen nothing happens, i literally have to restart my phone every time!

i think they mean how much time in between ...with S5, i could decide whether i wanted a 3 min gap, 5 mins or 10 mins but this phone doesn't give you an option. so please chill out as i understand the poster

Did any of you check the OPTIONS tab when setting the alarm? For goodness sake you have the snooze setting right there!

I just tell Google what time to wake me up.
I don't snooze either.

I use Google Clock from the Play Store and it works just like the alarm from the S4.

Maybe I am weird, but I have zero problems with stock alarm. I set it, it works. I don't use snooze- the whole point of the alarm is to make me get up. I plug my phone in before I go to bed, right beside my bed, and it wakes me up every single morning.

Last year I upgraded from S4 to S6.. I'm Soooooooo disappointed with the watered down alarm.

With the S4 alarm I could have really long alarm names, then with S Voice activated she would read out the alarm when it went off. I am very hard to get out of bed.. but could set several alarms with increasing severity of goading (or abuse) to get me up.. followed with appropriate music. Gentle to start, with subsequent alarms getting louder and more raucous.

It even had a proximity alarm.. when at work it would remind me of things at the right time. When at home.. etc. It was great.
With S6 alarm I get 20 characters, no S Voice and no proximity alarm.

A lame duck by comparison.

I'm so angry about this. Just this morning I was nearly 2 hours late because the alarm is so broken. It is the first time I've been late in 2 years working here.

#1 problem: why did they make the "disable" alarm the big red button that you swipe open? Why can you even disable an alarm with snooze on it from the alarm screen and not have to go into the app itself? And they made 'snooze' a tiny button you can't see between the big red disable button and the time... why did they do this!?

My under-slept self wakes up in a fog and hits big red button and done; alarm off. I don't even remember doing it. Such an awful design. I hate it. Also, the original s4 one had a black theme... why did they change it white and then not options a black theme? You set your alarm at night and wake up in a dark room(or I do anyway). Who wants a white theme?

Love the s4 and the s6... but the designers who have slowly made this app horrible should be ashamed.

In order for the alarm clock to work correctly , You must set the time zone and date on the phone correctly first .

May be I'm 1 of the lucky people that don't have problem with the stock alarm .
Snooze works fine too .

The alarm clock on my s6 is far from useless. It works just fine and it does allow me you set snooze times and intervals. I've used it several times on vacation and it works for me
