Galaxy S6 Edge overheat

There is more to this story if Sammy refuses to repair it.

I'm not sure what your implying. But I have had the phone less then a month. Not dropped or even a scratch on it. They said that it overheated and that's why it became unglued. They said I had it in the sun, which I haven't or a hot area. They consider that physical damage and will not repair it. I have read in other forums that the new s6 overheated with other people.

My S6 edge is getting hot sometimes. Solution for me: restart the phone.

Admittedly i haven't read every post here but how do i determine what's normal and what's over heating? When i use the fast charger the phone gets very warm to the extent it can be felt through a case and still feels very warm. Is that normal?

If your phone isn't shutting off by itself or providing you with a temperature warning then it is safe to say it isn't "overheating".

Of course, if your phone is hot enough where it could potentially burn your skin, then by all means take that to Samsung.

It is normal for a phone containing this much power and no active cooling method to get warm when put under heavy use.

Return it, I waited and it hot gets to hold to even hold it. 30 days old, zero physical damage and Samsung refuses to replace will only repair which involves several week mail in process. I am switching back to my HTC and ditching the Galaxy. Will never buy another Galaxy or Samsung product. To many choices with companies that stand behind what they build.

Do you have a Samsung Service center nearby? I have taken my S5 for service and they fixed every issue I had within a day without any hassle or debate.

He is right. I have noticed over the last week or so mine has gotten very hot. Today it was especially hot at the input for the charger. I got a flashing signal that it was overheating and when I pulled out the cord it had obviously melted. See attached photo. Going to stop in the Sprint store tomorrow and have them troubleshoot.

I bought my today. And the device burnt my hand before even finishing the basic set up (android account, etc).

I got in touch with Samsung, there seems to have some defectives devices. They have suggested to take it to their "assistence".

Hope it helps "/

I'm seeing 79 C in CPU Z, which has caused me some alarm. The phone has previously stated it is cooling itself off, however it is not at this temperature, which concerns me.

Thoughts?

On Friday, I had an experience with my device overheating. (Rooted S6E) I was using my phone taking pictures a lot. I also had auto upload on. And, I received two temperature warnings, my device reached temperatures of over 120 degrees. I turned it off, once I did that, it continued to do a boot loop. It would almost start up, then it would just reboot. I finally got it to shut down, and after it cooled down, it would reboot once or twice, then it would finally start.

Ever since that has happened, my device as never been the same, it is running really slow, and it has a lot of lag. I think that, I'm going to have to do a factory data reset, and hope that it fixes the issues that I'm having. I just hope, that I didn't do permanent damage to my device.

hello, well mine used to get really hot when i charge it, about 150 F or more, then i noticed it was the fast charger that was heating my phone even when i charge it and it´s turned off, so i´m now using the galaxy s5 charger as long as the difference is 15 min faster, i care more for the phone than the time it takes to charge

I have only had my S6 for a month in a half and it continously overheats and yes I get the temperature warnings. I am not a gamer just a regular cell phone user. Also when I plug the phone up to charge in my car, the battery percentage continues to go down instead of charging. Any suggestions!
