Galaxy S6 message + app won't tell me if message is delivered.

Samsung Galaxy S6 messaging only says "sent" but won't say "delivered" even when message has been delivered. I've turned on "Request receipt" in "conversation" tab in message settings but this doesn't help (it was on already so I turned it off and then on again).
My phone has also stopped getting update notifications. What is this all about?

Not sure about delivery report maybe restart your device see if it fixes any small glitches, but waiting for software update its pretty much the end where the s6 receives it anymore.

Not all carriers have all parts of RCS implemented yet.
