Adjust the animation scales... all three options in developer options there which says 1x... turn them all to 0.5x.

As for the voice input, you may skip that part (i might be talking to other keyboard app)
Yes and also developer options is not removed from the menu. Weird, as my previous phone does it. Maybe after a reset then the menu will disappear.

I did everything you said, and the stock keyboard no longer lags, and I changed everything to 0.5 which makes my messages app and everything else pop up fast, but how do I speed up the scrolling on in Apps like Twitter and Facebook? Is there a way to change the color of the stock keyboard?

What do you mean scrolling? I dont notice any scrolling issues with mine because it performs almost identical to my iPad.

Color of the stock keyboard may be changed only by installing themes as far as i know.

Can anyone post a video demo regarding Lagging during scrolling?
Lagging is subjective because others may not find it lagging at all.

No lag here and this is from someone who has called Samsung out on it before. S6 is the first phone that has been as smooth as an iPhone for me

I changed my animations to 0.5x the other day and while it does help I also get lag when scrolling down facebook/instagram/twitter.

The only stutter I experienced in the past was with an older version of Twitter, not long after the S6 launched, but a subsequent update remedied that. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter all scroll very smoothly for me.

Are you on the current version of each app? And if so, have you tried clearing the cache for those three recently?

My GS6 has been suffering lag as well. Taking seven seconds to launch the Messages app. Pressing the home button and nothing happens for many, many seconds. The phone acted like a "deer in the headlights" so to speak.

I switched to Nova, deactivated a few more things. It probably helped but a daily reboot seemed the best solution but it still wasn't 100%.

I read this thread and did two things:

1) Change the graphics settings to 0.5 as documented above
2) Removed Avast and Greenify

Instantly the lag disappeared. I need to spend more time with it but so far the phone is back to what I remember it being on Day 1.

Besides Nova I use Google Now and the Google Keyboard. I have other apps in the background such as Facebook, Twitter, DS Photo, Google Photos - so far so good.

Google Maps has historically given me problems with lagging the phone but I can't test that until my commute home today. (EDIT: Google Maps as fine - no lag.)

I have AT&T GN4. Nova Launcher. No Antivirus but use Greenify free version, not sure it does anything. Phone lags horribly, and I'm not talking about transitions, animations, or keyboard. In fact, keyboard is great. But when I open apps, or hit multitask button, or use "ok Google", or use navigation (which constantly loses GPS signal), or the camera, everything delays, lags, or freezes. Example: hit the camera button to take a spur of the moment pool pic, it may take 3 to 15 seconds for the camera to open. Then actually snapping pics delays. Then after I take pics, the app freezes. Then when I hit my gallery button it might take 3-15 seconds again to see the pic I took, only to realize I missed it because of all the delay. This is not an exaggeration and it is consistent. This behavior happens across the board. My wife's iPhone 6 is blazing fast in all aspects at all times. I hate the iPhone but it's hard to not want to switch. I'd love to know there is a solution. Thanks!

Greenify free version, not sure it does anything.

I don't run Greenify, but according to Playstore, Greenify will hibernate apps. You might check the settings of the app, or disable it to see if it makes any difference with your lagging. Anything in hibernation will take quite awhile to wake up.... although 15 seconds is way too long.

This is what I was experiencing but not all the time. What's interesting is that I have nearly the same apps installed on my Nexus 7 2013 and it's smooth as slick all the time.

No lag at all. I think u are talking about the animations witch have a slow transition. If you go into developer options and change animations to .5 and turn off power save you will have no lag. Changing animations to 0 seem to make phone studder. My phone is fast as hell using touchwiz. I've used nova and it made it faster.

I've got lag too. I think it really became more noticeable after the last update. I don't remember it being like this when I first got the phone. My browser lags when scrolling, this app lags when scrolling, probably a lot more things lag but I'm just getting used to it.

I never really considered getting another phone and was perfectly content to keep this for 2 years but since I have TMO jump I will be eligible for an upgrade in November I think. I will see what's available at that time and decide.

If you didn't download nova and install it or any other launcher, then you are still on touch whiz

An easy way to tell is to go to settings > applications > default applications and under home it should say "touchwiz". If you download more launchers you can come back into the default apps menu and change between the launchers.

Why don’t you just go try it out in the store for yourself first if possible, instead of basing your decision on a forum poster whose phone may or may not be defective?? You can even go watch some reviews online to help. Some prominent Youtubers such as Marques Brownlee and Erica the tech nerd use the s6 edge as their daily driver and the only complaint I hear from Marques is the battery life. Which myself and many posters here don’t have a problem with. I'm not convinced about this "lag" issue not only because I and many other posters here don’t have this problem, but from watching their videos for years I know marques and Erica aint gonna use ANY phone that lags and performs badly. They have never mentioned it in their reviews also.
