Hi,
I have S6 32 gb.
Smart Manager shows that Apps use 21 gb. However, real App storage is only 2.5 gb.
I run DiskUsage app and it shows there is one item called 'System data' which is 19.2 gb. (This is not the system memory which is 6.6 gb and shown seperately in Smart Manager).
This System data was growing rapidly with 1 gb a day in last 2 weeks.
I tried everything: deleted apps, deleted caches, etc. Nothing worked.
I could not find the System data.
One app might have caused the problem (email, Spotify) I deleted spotify and deativated email but nothing solved.
I do not want go do factory reset for not losing some specific app info which I cannot recover.
Tried Storage Analyzer and SD Maid apps. Still I could not access the System data I mentioned above.
I could not find an answer in non of the forums.
Any thought would be very much appreciated.
Best,
Baha

Turning off an app without clearing data for that app doesn't free up the data space the app is using. (It orphans it - the data is there, but now - unless the app is still installed - you can't clear its data.) The system itself (Android/Linux) may be storing data there - different manufacturers partition the internal storage differently.

Email is the Samsung app. I removed account but I cannot uninstall since it is a preinstalled app.
How can I clear the data?

I had the same problem along with abnormal battery consumption for several days. I couldn't figure it out so finally bit the bullet and did the nasty. Picked up 20G in available storage and battery consumption went back to normal. Don't have a clue what went wrong. Reloaded all the same apps and everything is running fine.
